Its the cost of one lunch. With my waistline I can skip a lunch a month and not miss it.

I just made sure my subscription would continue past 3-17 just so I could get a nice cache of Crowns to use. However I may let that lapse until the DLCs start releasing later in the year.

To get all new content and extra crowns to use in the shop. And to support the game as i love TES

I level slow. I don't even have a VR14 character. I am far from being done with this game.

Edit after reading all of article: I will agree that there is not much a reason to subscribe until a DLC is announced. Still, the crown store is still closed and we do not know how much real money goes into the Crown yet.

I'm not subbing until the first DLC is released. After that we'll see.

Just read the article and I have to say he makes some really excellent points. For me, the only thing of interest, MAYBE, is the 1500 Crowns a month. But I won't even know if THAT is going to be worthwhile until I know what the Store offers and what those Crowns will purchase. So far the only things I've seen in the Store that they previewed that I actually WANT are the panther pet and maybe a couple of the horse mounts. I was not terribly impressed with any of the costumes and I found the Draugher Polymorph costume to be boring. With as many AWESOME creatures as are in the game...THIS is what we get offered? I MIGHT want the dog but only because he looks like Giblets, who you meet at first in Daggerfall and then who apparently follows you all the way up to the Lions Guard Redoubt where you eventually see him again. I always thought we should be able to adopt him! So now we sort of can. So far, no housecat. So I'm REALLY hoping that's just a small peek at what is actually going to be available. And again, this depends on the pricing for these Store items. If they do the cheap trick of making them JUST BARELY OVER what you get for "free" so as to entice you to buy additional Crowns I may leave the game entirely. I really hate that scam that much. So the only OTHER reason to stay subbed for the Crowns is if they are going to guarantee me that they will introduce PLAYER HOUSING as a Store item, with a full explanation of how it will work (and that system being something I can live with and enjoy) and the guarantee that if I save my Crowns from now until then I'll be able to purchase what I want without having to buy additional Crowns.

Otherwise, I see no real reason to stay subbed past March for all the reasons the article you link states. No new content for 6 months or better and the game will be just the same with or without a sub as there will be no DLC content to be missing out on. Yeah...no thanks. ZOS maybe ought to rethink this unless, of course, their aim is to get subs to drop so drastically that they don't need to keep them around anymore and make it so you have to pay for every little thing.

I've already paid to beta a broken, unbalanced, unfinished game, and I'm pretty sure I don't want to do it again.

Actually, after experiencing the PTS, not only will I not be subbing after March 17th, I think I'm going to unsub between now and then.

$15 is irrelevant to me too (like one guy said) but it's not to Zos, so I refuse to support what has been a series of bad decisions, each one worst than the last.

None, unsubbed until I can see what my 9 months of subs got used for. At this point I have no trust left for anything they say it's going to be.

The cost is trivial, and I can use all the boosts I can get as I level up a group of lowbie characters (newly returned to the game). A no brainer, really.

If I continue beyond May (what I'm already signed up for) It'll be mostly to support the game.

I too believe in speaking with my wallet and if we don't support ESO financially then ESO has a greater chance of failing. I don't 'punish' studios by not supporting them, rather I support them in hopes that they get what they need to make an excellent product.

I'm not punishing anyone. I'm making the choice to not support a company that I no longer believe in. I've never asked anyone else to do the same, nor will I ever. It's a personal decision. I continued to show my "support" by subbing since launch, even when I started to grow uncomfortable with the way things were going. I did so for the reason you stated: in the hopes that they would get what they needed to make an excellent product.

Now, however, I no longer feel that is a possibility, and so have decided not to continue said support. Again, that's not a punishment. It's not a "take that, ZOS! UH! RIGHT IN THE WALLET!" It's more of a "although this saddens me, I feel huge mistakes have been made and there's no turning back, so I will no longer be taking part in this."

Because I still love the game and want to support ZOS. When that is no longer true I will unsubscribe and leave.

As long as I feel my sub still has value and I am still having fun I will stick around and pay the sub. I will have to wait and see how heavy they monetize the game.

I'll be continuing my sub because I like the game and want to support it. What other reasons would there be?
