"You have learned how to make" PTS 1.6

On PTS 1.6 I made a new level 1 character I stole some recipes. I used/applied them. All I saw on screen was "You have learned how to make" I went to the local inn. A the cooking fire it seems the recipes are available to make. Is this "You have learned how to make" how it is for everyone? I was expecting something more than "You have learned how to make".

I just did not know what is supposed to display when you start fresh not knowing any recipes.

This is a New character.

I'm not entirely clear on what you're asking. When you use a recipe that you haven't already learned, say for golden apple ale, you get a notification "You have learned how to make golden apple ale," and then when you go to a cooking fire it shows up as one of the recipes you can make. That's the way it works, and that sounds like what you're describing. Were you expecting it to be something different?

Are you talking about the 1.6 changes to provisioning?

Because if you are, then according to the patch notes that is indeed how the provisioning system should work. You learn broad techniques that allow you to craft a range of recipes, rather than the specific recipes of pre-1.6.

Ah, OK if he's asking about the 1.6 changes then that makes more sense. It would be nice to make the question clear though...

Oh my bad. I was in a hurry when I wrote that first message. I will edit the first one in a second. Yes on the PTS 1.6 I am only seeing "You have learned how to make" instead of like your example "You have learned how to make golden apple ale". That is why I was confused.

I did not know what exactly was supposed to show up on 1.6.

Perhaps I missed that part of the patch notes.

I think @AlexDougherty has the right answer to your question in that case.

This is a bug which I logged on the PTS. The recipe name should follow that "You learned" text but it currently does not.
