Hey. I was thinking if were to buy ESO 17th of february, where I get 30 days of free sub, would I then be able to use the free to play model that comes out March 17th.

    Yes.

And it's buy to play not free to play. You will still need to buy the game in order to play it, it's not completely free. It just won't have a monthly sub.

But when the switch happens you will be able to drop the sub and carrying on playing for free.

I would wait just a little bit longer until you don't even have to buy it. 1.6 is all flash and no substance. Problems are still problems. Things that were never problems now are.

It's as if being overwhelmed with all the things that were wrong with the game they decided to remake it from scratch, somehow still have many of the same problems and a whole bunch of new ones.

This thing is going F2P hard and fast.

    F2P is perfectly correct .. right now I have to P2P, soon I won't have to P2P, hence it'll be F2P.

See, playing semantic games is easy .. it's just not useful .. fact is the game will be entirely indistinguishable from a 'real' F2P one (in your terms) the small cost of buying the game will barely register on ZOS revenue spreadsheets.

Just keep repeating to yourself "B2P is not F2P", "B2P is not F2P", "B2P is not F2P" etc.

Of course if console sales don't materialize or when they dry up why keep B2P? It would just block all those TES fans from amazing handy and dandy cash shop lovingly developed by ZOS.

Not targeting this comment at anyone in this thread, but why do I suddenly have a picture of someone curled up in their computer chair, knees hugged to their chest, rocking back and forth while clutching their guar plush toy.
