Character
So to be ready, each of my characters is leveling another 1 gold horse for stamina, another for capacity or if need be speed.

I don't understand. Why would anyone level more than 1 of each type of max-stat horse? My understanding was that horses were now going to reflect the cumulative max-states of all your pre-1.6 horses.
So, if you have 50 stamina on 1 horse and 50 speed on a second horse, all your new post-1.6 horses would have 50 points in BOTH speed and stamina automatically.

Its not ALL your post v1.6 horses. Each characters has his/ her own riding skill based on that particular characters highest horse ability. Thus why one would level another horse in a completely different stat. If a person is happy with the one or two present horses skills (for that toon) being used to determine Riding Skill for that toon then don't level another horse.
P.s. for economies sake a user may want to just put 25 stamina/25 speed on a horse if you've got a carrying horse already. And its 250g per point now. So 49 x 250g. So 12,250g to level a horse. Over the course of 49 days.
