To an extent. If you've put in so many hours on your main toon, you should have major benefits for an alt you want to level. Not having benefits like that for alts after you've leveled up another toon to max level is dumb and too old-school. This is 2015, it's time to move on.

I personally think this should just be in the game for everyone, regardless if you pay or not.

Already getting account wide skill points in the form of champion points. Why should I be able to level up destro staff to max skills when I create a level 1 character. Talk about PAY to WIN.

Why don't you learn to get things for yourself instead of thinking it is owed to you? your owed nothing.

so according to this logic if i made a brand new level 1 i would have all skills maxed out? no im not asking for this im asking for the points you put into skills to get them and to morph them.

    Nah.

Skill points should be earned for each character, by their individual deeds and spent as they level their skills. We will be having the champion system for shared points, that would be more then enough.

Backpack space needs to be for each character, if it was shared like the bank, we'd have no place to put our stuff...

Horse skills should be individual as well, I would not want them to be shared, since different characters of mine will need different mount stats, some fast to get around cyrodil, some strong to carry all the gathering sutff, etc.

Achievements... hmmm... maaaybe... but seeing how the dyes unlocked by them already are per account, I really see no need to make all the achievements account wide as well, especially since every character for example yould have to do each of their explorations by themselves to get the XP, and the achievements help find which ones you have done, and which ones you still have to do.

@TheShadowScout‌ Check out the Reddit AUA ZoS did a few days back. Horse skills will no longer be specific to horses, but instead each character will build up Riding Skill in each of speed, stamina, and carry. Now you can choose your mount for aesthetic reasons and will be able to have +50 to each of speed, stamina, and carry weight categories.

    Nah.

Skill points should be earned for each character, by their individual deeds and spent as they level their skills. We will be having the champion system for shared points, that would be more then enough.

going by this logic CP and dyes shouldnt have been account wide.

Backpack space needs to be for each character, if it was shared like the bank, we'd have no place to put our stuff...

so you telling me if all your alts have max bag space and max bank space you would run out of room?

Horse skills should be individual as well, I would not want them to be shared, since different characters of mine will need different mount stats, some fast to get around cyrodil, some strong to carry all the gathering sutff, etc.

so lets say you have 3 horses 1 with a max skill in speed, stam and bags and letting the horse be pure cosmetic. how is this a bad thing?

Achievements... hmmm... maaaybe... but seeing how the dyes unlocked by them already are per account, I really see no need to make all the achievements account wide as well, especially since every character for example yould have to do each of their explorations by themselves to get the XP, and the achievements help find which ones you have done, and which ones you still have to do.

again with the dyes are ok but other things are not? how is this a good argument for skill points not being account wide. i have already done all the quest and skyshard hunting on 1 toon already why must i do everything all over again to level a toon? why cant i just go in and grind/quest as fast as i can to get to max and not have to worry about if i have anough skill points to you know *** it i dont care hopefully they will see the *** and remove this thread

I have yet to read an argument (good or not) why it should. All I've seen so far is "Why should I have to put forth any effort for my alts?" That's not an argument; that's just begging for freebies.
i have already done all the quest and skyshard hunting on 1 toon already why must i do everything all over again to level a toon?

Because you're leveling a new character. That's the process. That's the game.

Aren't these called Champion points and Account Bank?

No fresh toon should have access to 300 skill points out of the gate.

The boosts from Champion Points should be enough give alts a head start tho.

None so deaf as those who have already made up their mind.

Mounts - maybe, especially with cash shop mounts and horse skills coming.

Achievements - No, you are not forced to do any of them but if you care enough to want them then you should care enough to earn them.

Backpack space -is a gold sink, suck it up.

Skill points - NO, in so many ways no.

I truly don't see what good it would be - do you just want to be able to insta-level alts of each kind to make cookie builds? Do you hate the choices you made on your first character? Are you hoping the cash shop will stock an 'I won' voucher?

If you spent more time playing and less time re-posting this thread you'd already have the skill points on any number of alts...

Because giving all those skills points trivializes the content in a few ways.

First, there is the fact that you no longer need to do all the quests, group challenges, or find the skyshards. You're probably thinking "Great!", however that is for all intents and purposes content. The game should not be trivializing it at this stage in it's life, that's something that MAYBE comes along years down the line. Also, if you don't go do those dungeons to complete those quests, or go do those group challenges, then that's less players looking to group to do them which means finding a group becomes much harder. When people can't find other players to group with, they tend to leave the game. In other words, its the first steps toward the game dying.

Second, giving all those skill points to a starting character will essentially make them much stronger than they would ordinarily be, making easy content even easier. You can already level through areas quickly and with ease, especially if it's not your first character. If you give them essentially unlimited skill points at the beginning it will magnify that effect, and again, less people in those lower zones leveling because they will be gone that much faster.

Third, tied in with above, giving all those beginning characters a ton of skills points sets up for the abuse of level 3 alt crafter masters with 3/3 hirelings in every crafting skill possible, so essentially eroding the market with tons of hireling materials.
