How many of you will stay subbed once ESO goes B2P in March?

I am on the fence, personally. After reading some more forum posts that subscribers won't be able to own the DLC, that we would essentially be renting it, I am not entirely sure what I will do. Before that, I was mostly certain about keeping my sub going. I've played in the beta and have been a subscriber since the game came out. Now I guess I'll probably stay subbed up until the point we get our crowns, and hopefully by then Zenimax will let us know how much the DLC's will be to purchase and own. How about you guys?

Are we supposed to show our lack of support for the upcoming subscription by not responding to this thread? In that case, I am doing this wrong.

No, I won't be subscribing after March.

Just curious to see other people's decisions. I am not 100% certain that remaining a subscriber would be better in the long run.

We won't get any other major piece of content for over 8 months, so unless the DLC is priced at $120 there is no good reason to be subbed until then.

Yeah, I guess that is putting me more into the category of "not subbing". I don't really care about the XP bonuses included with the cost of the subscription, nor mounts or whatever else it is that they plan on selling in the store.

What are the reasons you're deciding to stay subscribed? I am just trying to weigh all of my options.

I'll most likely cancel my subscription after they give out the 1 year reward (if there even will be one, that is).

I'll stay subbed. I don't have a lot of playtime so there is quite a bit of content left for me. Plus many of my in-game friends are staying so that helps. I'm having fun and it will be interesting to see what happens.

After looking over all the materials they provided... I will be moving over to ESO Plus simply because I get to due to an existing subscription.

I want to see what the prices look like. There is a tradeoff between buying the DLCs and getting them for free with a subscription.

This is different from the old subscription model where I never had the option to purchase the DLC. If they roll up DLC content into the base game as the game ages then subscription is the way to go. Otherwise it is not any easy decision since it might be cheaper to go a la carte.

My gut instinct, based on how poorly they are marketing the subscriptions and how excited they are about the Crown Store, is that they want the Crown Store to be where people spend most of their time, and money. Subscriptions will likely cut into the Crown Store revenue. The 1500 Crowns/mo may be similar to an allowance for a child.
I would gladly take my ESO subscription money and spend it on another game.

I would leech off the people willing to pay for ESO so that I don't have to.

I would stop playing when the "free" ran out.
I am heavily leaning towards the cash shop a la carte instead of a subscription. It all really depends on how much that first DLC costs. Two years of ESO Plus will be around $350 in DLC rental. If you are not planning to quit, this is not an issue, but no one knows what this game will look like in 2 years.

For starters, ZeniMax will need to convince me otherwise by making a compelling reason to shell out a monthly subscription, which they do not want, over just buying a la carte.

I will be subbed until I get my 1 year reward, my crown conversion for subbing since open beta and my 1500 for subbing the 1st month. After that there is zero reason to sub. New content after 1.6 will not come until after console release in June so July at the earliest. Add to that the fact that subbing only allows you to "rent" the content and subbing is pretty crazy and just a waste of money
"it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days." - Matt Firor
