Veteran level weapons & armor

Recently hit veteran level 12. For the life of me I cannot find merchants selling vr 12 weapons & armor. Visited Craglorn with no luck. Highest level available is vr11.

Do we need to craft our own weapons & armor for vet levels above 11?

Why do you want to buy weapons from merchants at vr12? You want to be making your own armour/weapon sets. Don't think i've bought any wep/armour from a merchant on any of my toons.

Because I have little interest in crafting. Though this might need to change.

You have several avenues to explore.

Crafting: You or others, SOO many of us have full 8-Trait and many are almost done with full 9-Trait.

PvP: The Elite Vendor sells great gear that is your level if you are personally buying it, or you can buy someone's AP with gold and have them buy it (keep in mind it will be THEIR level, if they are VR14 as example).

Chests: Lower Craglorn chests have VR11 gear in them, Upper has VR13 (or your level if you are still VR12 while lock picking them).

Guild Kiosks: Great option if you have gold.

Trials: Trial drops are VR12 and if you make it on the weekly Leaderboard you get a mail of a Legendary item of your level.

Vet Dungeons: VR12 if the dungeon is scaled to the highest (usually a VR14 in the group). Much of what drops that has set bonuses is BoP.

My char is vr13 now. Opened some Craglorn chests & the weapons inside were all vr11, so far.
Spending more & more time perusing guild vendors. No luck, whatsoever. Always lots of lower tier gear. Not seen one single item in vr10-14 range so far (what i'm looking for).

Do not play pvp.

Yea, you're going to want to craft your own gear. I'm absolutely amazed you made it to V13 with nothing but vendor bought gear.

It's the only way you're going to be able to take advantage of set bonuses, unless you're SUPER lucky and get dropped set gear that's your level before you out-level it.

Thanks for the link. I'll certainly check it out.

It has to be Upper Craglorn for the chests to have VR13 in them, or killing the VR13 enemies in Upper Craglorn to get dropped gear.

Considering that ALL Vet Dungeons have been cleared with no Armor and no Weapon runs leveling to VR13 with only Vendor bought + dropped + quest gear isn't exactly mind boggling.

You're amazed? why? Had very little trouble advancing through the levels, solo dungeon & pve quest wise.

To OP - with all respect to playing your style, why would you want to use vendor bought gear? Not only it's set-less and you're missing on a ton of cool effects and buffs you could be enjoying, but it's also ridiculously overpriced for blank blue gear it is(iirc), you could add just a bit there and have someone craft set items of your chosen lvl, style and trait for you. Craglorn is usually overflown with crafters of all kinds, so are convenient zones like Rift/Reaper's March.

Outside of buying a vr11 fire staff,the rest of my armor & weapons are from drops. Up until hitting vr12, did not have a need for 'high level' weapons & armor.
As stated in an earlier post. Did not need custom high level armor or weapons to go through pve questing or solo dungeons.

Dungeon Dwellers has cleared ALL Vet Dungeons with Naked runs and no Weapon runs (not sure how many with Naked + no Weapon). This forum happens to have a CoH no Weapon run, but not all of the Naked or no Weapon clears were captured. Keep in mind these are done with very experienced players in TS. Just pointing out that it's not crazy to see someone level to VR12 without using anything but dropped/quested/vendor bought gear. My search-mojo is failing me because I know another DD member uploaded a Naked CoA in December but I can't find it to save my life.

HERE is a 28 min Naked AA run.

I recommend looking for a crafter in zone or guild chat, there are plenty around so it should be the fastest way. If you're on EU, I could help you.

Send me an email in the game to Kildair and we can go over set combinations. I can craft up to 8 trait armor. Most people using a staff go with two sets(8-9 items). One 5 piece set for those bonuses and then a 3 or 4 piece set for the second.
