Cyrodiil's Future might not be what everyone was expecting
If the game suddenly became an over night success and I'm just way off here . Good man . I hope that's true more then anyone . I hate that for some reason I just can't stand to log in to PVP anymore . Maybe it's all just my imagination . [/quote]
I don't blame you for that feeling, I get it myself from time to time. Honestly I'm trying to ignore the B2P switch and just not think about it. 1.6 will be the make or break, and thats all I'm going to focus on.
I also don't necessarily think the game just became an overnight success, I imagine far from it. I do however think some people took noticed and picked up some keys while they were still cheap, drove price up, etc. Makes sense, 15-30 bucks for a game that can provide enough play time to be worth that cost? Sure.

But how do you steam fish? I don't get it.

Generally speaking, it seems clear that pvp has become a low priority.
I mean you look at the pop caps its a small portion of the playing population (which is information they also won't share). Its also becoming increasingly walled behind level restraints, gear restraints, and hierarchical guild ego pandering. Its no wonder that pvp is so dead.
Your definition of dead makes me have pity on any possible pets you buried after you thought they expired.
His statement is pretty accurate for the NA server. There is only one campaign where there is a semblance of population balance.
I would love to be playing on eu servers from what I've heard about pops. Sounds like an actual game is happening there.
Part of it is I'm just sick of this BS where people are like "Oh I'm sick of getting killed by people lower level than me" or "lagsploit is a legit strategy." People need to think more proactively about pvp. I get that everyone wants to earn thnigs, and everyone wants to be emp, and everyone wants to be the best. But the pvp environment (at least on NA) seems so fragile right now that when you put your own agenda philosophically ahead of the quality of the game, what you are doing is contributing to its death.
We should be encouraging people to play, and to play well. We should not punishing people for a lack of achievement, or rewarding play that is destructive to the game environment. If that continues, all you're going to see is frustrated bored noobs and a dwindling dedicated player base.
