I really love this game, pre ordered the Imperial editon (£70) and have been a subscriber ever since. I feel like i was set on fire, pee'd on and then set alight again. I really don't know how all this is going to pan out. And to be honest I really don't like it.

I really thought that this would never be the case with this game (until recent months). So after all that money we have spent will we still need to buy the DLC too, as well as still subscribing just to get crowns? I am even thinking that if I could, I would like a refund for every penny I have spent, and all my hours in my life back that I have used (need a flux capacitor though).

I just don't what it is going to be like when this steam rollers comes and flattens everything. If it goes P2W thats me done. A loyal customer lost. And depending on what this game turns out like I may be gone before that.

Elder Scrolls is a franchise that shouldn't be doing this. But instead improving vastly on the game and keeping its sub base, instead of this B2P, which more than likely will be P2W once a online store has been made,

Just rubs salt in a wound.

Sorry for this moan, but this is a TESO (would have been life long player, subscriber) that is very very disappointed in this.

Stopped reading after you decided to compare your situation to someone being set on fire.

    Grow up.

I agree, the Elder Scrolls franchise shouldn't have to resort to this.

Resort to what? The entire Elder Scrolls franchise is buy to play.

    Arena is free...

    Daggerfall is also free....
    http://www.elderscrolls.com/daggerfall/

    sooo....

Yes well.. they hurt my eyes :'(
They're free cause they're ancient, this has nothing to do with their latest game(s) being b2p.

I'm honestly tired of all the complaining, jeez 1.6 isn't even here yet and people are leaving because they're paranoid. Just leave or wait and see.
"Clowns ruin my immersion".. you (everyone who's whining) think that jarls don't have fools and jesters? Why would it bother you if someone bought a pretty dress with their crowns, or a senche as a pet.. unless you're a child i don't get it.

I love eso and i'm addicted.. if they ruin it i will be sad for a bit and quit, and then i will get over it.. it's a game. If you just keep subbing nothing will actually change besides having some small perks. Such drama

There is a huge difference between the other elder scrolls and Elder scrolls "online". There are other people to consider. That's like saying WoW is the same game as warcraft. Just wait till the international community starts coming in with VPN's to mask their IP. Game over.

They have did nothing that is p2w yet and It wouldnt be smart to implement that kind of marketing because customers will drop like flys if the server is empty because of rage quitting.

My only concern is the international community: south america, russia, china. I been in at least 5 MMO's that went f2p, b2p or were f2p to start with and they were all ruined by the international community sneaking in. If you don't know why it's a bad thing then you don't know F2p mmo's. I'll reserve my personal opinions about their attitudes but something You'll defintely see so many hacks it will make your head spin. Also, not to mention their super high latencys coming from across the ocean and their huge population.

In a war force on a battle field? Surely not.

Well technically Warcraft is an RTS while WoW is an MMOrpg. The game mechanics are fundamentally different, and thus the content itself and how a consumer perceives them are altered respectively for each game format.

In comparison both TES and TESO are both rpgs. A better comparison would be Final Fantasy with Final Fantasy XI, although that in itself is comparing a JRPG which tells a story to a JMMORPG which tells a story with friends.

The Elder Scrolls is something entirely different on a fundamental level in terms of mechanics and story when compared to almost everything else out there. Similarities exist, but no... still different.
