THIS is the lighting that needs to be used in character creation!

Why on earth are we creating our characters in a dark and shadowy cave when we SHOULD have the lighting that is displayed here at the character selection screen? Also, when working out our characters' faces, why can we not zoom in as close on the face as we can in the character selection screen? The poor lighting and inability to zoom in properly on face is what is responsible for nearly all of the complaints about not being able to delete characters often enough and the requests to be able to RETURN to the character generation screen in order to make changes. FIX this ZOS, the technology to do so is obviously there. Take a minute from creating items for the cash shop and address this issue that has been a severe irritant to your players since launch. PLEASE.

Don't you think it's a dead horse? ZOS already know about it and 1. they don't care
    2. they implement it later.

It's never a dead horse til they FIX it. Now please step to the side so I have room to swing this bat. Thank you. ;)

And while I know this subject of the crap lighting in char gen has been addressed before I just wanted to take the opportunity to show them what we want INSTEAD of that.

Yep, I think that darned horse is still breathing. 'Scuse me...

And only when you PAY will you get the lighting that doesn't suck.

Pay to get right lighting in character creation window. It's a brilliant idea, don't you think so?

Also, my new character looks as if he had been smeared with wax. :(

Maybe they'll sell different "character creation environments" in the Crown shop.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

I don't create new characters too often (13 in total by now), but I fully agree. It's never the same when you see the new character in-game. I'm mostly satisfied with the result, but they still could use "a bit more here, a bit less there" etc. and it's just not possible to go back..

It's the same with the dying stations, most of them are placed in dark corners or in buildings that never see any kind of sunlight. It's just complete darkness, at best an orange-yellow torchlight which falsifies the colors.
It's annoying to try some colors in hope they would fit together somehow, then you go to the next spot where the sun is shining to actually see it, and if it doesn't look good, you go back and try it again (well, at least it's possible to do this as often as we want, unlike the character creation.. which was the topic here, actually ;)).

Actually that's 200 crowns for appearance change, 100 crowns for the body art, 100 crowns for the earrings, and and extra 150 crowns for the jeweled head gear.

Hair dye for free, because you're worth it! :)

Right? LOL Ah I know it's hard not to take shots at the cash shop, I was guilty out of the gate... but let's try to talk about the pic. Can we PLEASE get a Dev response on this? I don't think they EVER have addressed this!

We get 1500 crowns for subscribing, so that means it will cost around 1600. That way we have to spend 5-10 bucks to get 500-1000 more crowns to make up for the 100 :)

Not my character but those happen to be our guild colors and if you understand anything about heraldry you'd get why we chose them when we were designing our tabard. You get a lol for cluelessness. LOL

Be patient, I'm pretty sure a nice, shiny and expensive set of Super Troupers for the character creation screen is already high on the to-add list of the crown store...

For character generation, it would be best to have several lighting options available I would presume. Midday, midnight, torchlight, perhaps a few others... just to see how the character might look under different circumstances...

That would certainly be nice but since we can't even get a single Dev to ever comment on this recurring issue I would just frankly be thrilled to create my characters somewhere OTHER than in a DARK SHADOWY CAVE! GRRRR!

    Agreed.

Also agree on the better lighting on character creation. FF XIV let's you select multiple background/environments to check out during creation to make sure you like your character under most lighting. This would be a good addition to the process.
