LF GUILD - without 'elite groups'

Hi all.

Since everyone can be in 5 different guilds it's really hard sometimes to find a group if you're not really up to date with the progression.
I've been playing since launch and took some brake from ESO, recently came back.
Turns out everyone already maxed out achievements and most of the content and running vet14's in same trials all over again.
There's no real connection between players in guild except for maybe elite groups.

IF any one of you has any info about good guild that's focusing on OWN people and helps with progress/quests/achievements I would really appreciate the info.

I'm interested in helping, getting help and in general being part of some guild/community.

I don't really need 5 guilds ...ONE good would be enough :)

Edit:

EU / Ebonheart Pact only

Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.
It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul

The Lone Wolf Help guild on US server (website is: http://www.lonewolfhelp.com/) is an all faction guild (founded in AD but has members and officers in each faction), very active and helpful. They have guild events frequently and are often helping each other finish achievements, running dungeons, etc. I just joined over the weekend and they seem to be really awesome.

I am also in a smaller guild called Phoenix Dawn of Nirn. We are just starting out, but everyone is friendly and helpful, some members quest together on a regular basis. We have members in each faction there as well.

Good luck in your search for a guild! I know how difficult it can be to find the right fit. :)

Elitists make it difficult to find groups for the dungeons.

    Hopefully you find a guild.

You need a guild that has people around your level of progression. Maybe a guild with maxed out capacity. You have to take in to account time zones and people that want to actually do what your doing atm, and if they even want to group with people. Obviously vr14s don't want to go and run through a vr1-11 area. Its no challenge, its boring, the gear would not help them, there is nothing for them to do there. You can't expect ELITIST to do boring things with you or take you along to do things they know can't be completed with you. Yesterday I asked in guild chat for 2 dps for dsa, we have a vr14 healer and a tank. A vr1 and vr5 said they would come. DSA usually takes me more than an hour to do. I know some people can do it in less time with a good group of vr14s but if I already know this is going to take an long time to do this and for me to get nothing out of it... plus I don't know you that well, ***k that. I'm not being elitist. There is just nothing I or they probably see in grouping with the vr1 and vr5 that would be fun. I couldn't come away from playing that day and saying i didn't waste my time or my real life money. Now once you get to vr14 level and other vr14s reject you because you don't meet elitist standards like doing 1.6-1.9k sustained single target dps. Then pff, yeah, that's a total elitist group of ____ fill in the blank.
You name it, and ill kill it.

Oh and it might help if you attached yourself to someone. Your a dps and this person plays a healer. You are the same level. Become in game besties with them. They will always pick you first for going to dungeon or whatever. These nearly assures you a spot in activities started by you or this person. Have multiple life lines like this will boost your chances of suitable grouping. You just have to make sure you stick close to them in progression as I said in my other post.

I can completely sympathise with the predicament Seth_Black finds himself in, because I have been there myself.

The overland content is trivially easy, I moved through it solo without really optimizing a play style or equipment and breezed through it but it doesn't prepare one at all for end-game (veteran 12 dungeons, trials, Arena, PvP).

I joined a guild, I saw people grouping up to do dungeons, posting their loot and enjoying each other's company and it seemed like a ball and I wanted to take part in that. That's well and good, but I learned quickly that that amount of fun doesn't happen magically when people group up - that fun comes from being successful and that takes more work than what I was seeing in guild-chat.

I've been in Veteran spindleclutch for 5 hours struggling with Praxin because as tank I couldn't hold agro on all the bosses and it was not fun. I've been in veteran Banished Cells with a healer who only had 1400 magicka, and couldn't keep up with the damage. I've been in Veteran City of Ash with a DD who was satisfied making heavy attacks as his contribution to DPS. I was there with friends and guild mates and though they are great people, it wasn't fun. It was soul-draining and frustrating and ended up with two best friends not talking to each other because nerves were so frazzled out.

After a few experiences like that you figure out, that group dungeons, trials and arena are not like overland delves and world bosses where the content is meant to be completed by anyone. There are DPS checks, Healing checks, tanking checks where if I'm not good enough, I will fail at my role and in turn cause the group to fail. When a group asks for at least 600 dps for Aetherium Archive, they aren't being elitist - that is the minimum you need to kill Varlariel or the Magicka Infusion bomb wipes the raid. If they're asking for 800 or 900 for a Timed run, it's because you have a clock ticking and you need to kill things within a set amount of time. If a max level player doesn't want to downscale a pledge dungeon to me at VR6, it's because they don't want to end up with a much-coveted rare item drop at a level useless for them.

As a player who wasn't at max level at one time, and didn't have adequate gear, I could demand that people I call friends and guildmates compromise their 'elitist standards' and go through a frustrating, unsuccessful experience that is ultimately a waste of time for everyone because I want to be included in those 'fun' activities or I can compromise.

I compromised by buckling down and grinding quickly through vet ranks so I was at the same level as them. I spent hours online researching builds, I farmed for the dropped items that would improve my play. I talked to more experienced players about tactics. In short, I made an effort to meet my friends at their level rather than expect them to meet me at mine.

The result was that I improved, I learnt to play better, I got better equipment, I contributed to successful dungeon runs and raids. I got requested to join groups, I made more friends, completed things successfully and had more fun.

People have a limited time to put in the game, everyone wants to log in, chill out and enjoy success but that fun doesn't automatically happen if you have a "good guild" and "good friends" and "good community", it has to be earned by driving oneself to be a good player.

I just wanted to say this is an absolutely awesome post and we need more people like you in the game:)

People can be very different though. I went from casual player carefully exploring every square cm of Tamriel to running vCOA and vDSA and I met a lot of people on the way so I know. There is a fair number of jerks out there - some of them are really good players but they refuse to teach nor have any patience for people trying to learn, they're ready to start calling names and ragequit as soon as something isn't perfect. It sucks and leaves a sour taste in your mouth. But there's also a fair share of good sane people that are willing to help and show the ropes - as long as people are willing to learn.

In turn, there're more casual players which try their best to be an asset to the team(they might not succeed but hey, they try and if they try enogh they will get there eventually) and then there're people who absolutely insist on "playing the way they want" when it clearly isn't fitting for a certain instance and they pretty much want other team members to carry this person. The latter attitude isn't much better than "elitist jerk" one, really, it leaves equally sour taste in the mouth of more experienced people, in turn discouraging them from helping out newer players they don't know.

That said, hats off again to @Lithium Flower‌ Flower , posts like yours restore my faith in humanity in general and ESO community in particular ^.^
