ESO+ and vanity items

I am finding mixed understandings regarding the ESO+ access to vanity items, such as mounts, pets etc.

Technically, they are DLC, so surely the subscription should allow access.
However, when cancelling a sub, access to DLC areas become restricted. Yet items obtained are kept. Would this include keeping vanity items?

Someone suggested that vanity items are separate from DLC and can be purchased with the monthly crown allowance.
Obviously, at this time it is difficult to know the value of items and crowns. I think this is where the value of subscription compared to just paying for DLC will be scrutinised.

However, if they do add value to the subscription by allowing full access to these vanity items, and they are kept after subscription ends, what prevents someone subbing for 1 month near the end of the year and getting all vanity DLC for $15, compared to someone who subbed all year and only getting some vanity items each month?
My solution to prevent that would have monthly exclusives, that once expire, are purchasable in the crown store.

Does anyone have any solid information? (I know it is hard to obtain)

Vanity items and DLCs are different.

ESO+ grants free access to the DLCs but you'll still have to pay for the vanity items.

Is there any references made at all?

I find it tricky, as obviously DLC areas are going to take alot longer to release, so why would the subscription be viable if, for example, you subbed 3 months waiting for new DLC areas, then stop. That is already $45 gone without DLC and it is no longer accessible.
(I know that is what normally would happen in a subbed game, but it has changed now, especially since content is going to slow down)

I'm sure they can and will pump out vanity items monthly. Giving these to ESO+ will add value, where currently it seems pointless to sub.

It is safe to assume that the exchange rate for crowns will be around 100 crowns / 1$. This way, 1 month of sub = 15$ = 1500 crowns and you get the DLCs / XP boost / gold boost included.

you will have to pay for items like mounts, cosmetic armors and boosts. these will not be included in the monthly sub.
they want additional money from you.

If you sub 3 months then you will have 4500 crowns in your account and you could use them to pay (fully or partially, we will see) those DLCs if you like.

If you spend the monthly income in vanity pets and have fun with your 10% boosts, then its fair if you unsub you have no access to the last content itself.

I would, in the other hand, support ZOS giving us ESO+ members a crownstore discount. That would make it worth for both, people that just want to buy a ton of vanity stuff but does not care that much about DLCs (so in the long run the discount would pay them off), and those who while subbed would yet like to buy the DLCs to drop the sub and retain access to all areas.
