A character transfer would be pointless if it did not include all your progress and materials. I don't think we have to worry about losing our stuff. I'm just thinking about the fact that once I transfer to PS4, I won't be able to play on PC anymore, or all my progress will be split. I wish they would track our characters on multiple servers, even if it required a subscription. I want to play on both platforms and have all my progress on one account.

    ZOS said the following

"We know that the news of an ESO console delay is as disappointing to many of you as it is to us. We want to do what we can to make it up to our fans who want to start playing now, so we have worked out the following arrangement with Sony and Microsoft:

Via a special offer, anyone who purchases and activates the PC/Mac version of The Elder Scrolls Online by 6/30/14 (11:59pm UTC) will have the opportunity to transfer their character(s) to either console version when they are released. The offer will allow you to begin playing immediately on the PC/Mac, and then add the PS4 or Xbox One version and transfer the character(s) you have created and developed. And, you don’t have to pay full price for the game twice. For $20, eligible PC and Mac players will have the option to add a full, digital version of ESO on either the PS4 or the Xbox One with your character transfer(s), and another 30 days of included game time."

Does not say anything about Materials just Character Progress.... Skills,Profession levels stuff like that. But Seriously though they could just throw some basic armor on us and say off you go....

You don't get it. If the game is ready a few days early, that means they can let everyone play. But they don't because selected few want to feel like special snowflakes (and are willing to pay for it).

You already have a massive advantage if you port your character over. Let's leave it at that.

It's not just about having an advantage... If those porting got the game early we could Guild up and build a better community. Also lets us connect to those who feel a certain loss of kinship. It's a chance to meet similar minded people and set the example....

To add on what I was saying earlier. PC players have a major communication problem...... People hardly ever use TS or Vent.... I mean I talk to my friends every night but most people aren't using the TS or Vent.....

It sounded to me like those of us who were on PC and plan to port over might have to wait until after the initial console release. Firor seemed wishy washy about when we will get in during the ESO live broadcast.

That they did. I don't think they have the capability ironed out exactly yet.

They said in the twitch stream that it will be a copy over to console and that the PC version of your toons will not be deleted :D

    Soon TM ;)

Yeah would be nice to know when they plan to transfer over. Would also be nice if they offered all PC players planning on transferring over access to beta since we should have a good idea of how the game should work and what is a bug.

We plan to make the PC/Mac to console character transfer option available to those who are eligible well before June 9th, 2015 (we're aiming for 60 days before.)

That'll be very useful. More so just for the downloading onto console haha

A1. Yes you should be able to download it and have it on day one.
A2. No, you should not be allowed to have an advantage over the console server.
A3. No, you will be starting a new game.

I'm not trying to have an advantage on console players. I purchased ESO on PC after they delayed the release to consoles. Only after they said I would be able to port my character. And keep my progress. To jump on console might be like the first 2 months of the game on PC. I don't want to go through another beta but if i have to I will gladly in order to help bring about a better experience for others. All I'm asking for is a prerelease play time so those of us porting can help iron some things out

It will be split. It is a ONE TIME copy transfer.
