Silly

So I decided after getting my rare dye that being a werewolf was absolutely worthless. I went and paid a small fee to be "cured." Sweet, no longer a werewolf, but I don't get any of my ability points back. They just disappear. That's just silly. Now if I want those dozen or two dozen points back, I need to go respec my entire character and pay like ~7K. I think returning my skill points should be part of "curing" me.

I actually didn't know that was something that happened but I totally agree that you should get those back.

You should be happy and thank for being allowed to join ranks of pure human race again, instead of barking over skill points, dog.

My understanding is you get free stam regen as a werewolf. So the question is why wouldn't anyone be a werewolf? (unless they're a vamp)

You don't just get free stam regen. You only get the increase when you are in wolf form, which is the ultimate and is a high cost ultimate at that.

During the transformation, several things occur depending on your level. You fear enemies in your immediate area, which isn't actually helpful because you're melee and end up having to chase them down.
The time in wolf form is very short, like 10 maybe 15 seconds. You can spec into passive that give 100% increase to stamina on heavy hits.
You have some really nice DOTs in the form of bleeds and diseases, but honestly, the wolf form doesn't seem anymore powerful than straight human, other than I can quickly regen stamina. Considering I'm a tank and ultimate is a nightmare to generate anyway, so I don't really see any benefit for me as an individual. Also, I bring better ultimates to the table outside of being a werewolf. If you really want, you can leave the werewolf ultimate on one set of weapons just to help generate ultimate faster as a tank, and then swap to the ulimtate you prefer to use, but on the flip side you take 50% more poison damage (always).

Sweet as transformation animation, and the sprinting looks cool.

PS. Besides, now I need to be a vampire so I can unlock that rare dye! lol

Nah, you get free 10% stam regen, even though it's not listed anywhere;) Tested and confirmed.

Also pretty sure it's confirmed poison weakness applies *only* in werewolf form.

Most tanks I know are werewolves, none of them use WW ulti for anything other than screwing around - they just put it on main bar to generate ulti faster, put the useful ulti on offbar and enjoy it. The rate at which WW tank with Bloodspawn set generates ultimate is pretty damn good.

All in all, the skillpoint part is stupid indeed, but you might want to reconsider;)

Edit: edited to be more clear, I didn't test poison weakness myself but I heard from others testing it and I think someone said in German version of the game it even states the weakness is in WW form only.

Yeah as said above, the stam regen applies out of wolf form, and the negatives of weakness to poison only applies when in wolf form. So its a win win being a werewolf at the mo. Whether thats by design or not, don't know, but thats how it works in practice.

Also, if you don't need the skill points stuck in WW line, wait for 1.6, you'll get all skill points refunded I expect. Save you some gold.

you're wrong, you get the stamina regen all the time, and the ult gen benefit as long as you slot the ultimate, with zero downside, as you only get the damage bonus when you are in form.

WW is strictly superior to being human in this game right now.

I'm going to have to disagree. My stamina regen didn't improve at all unless I was in WW. I watched the numbers in my character sheet as well. So unless its some hidden thing, you don't get the stamina. Also, I just did FG and noticed a massive hit by the poison damage while not in WW form. So that applies to you regardless. So as I tested it myself, stamina only in WW and poison regardless.

But hey, it doesn't matter. It's a personal choice. I saw no benefit to WW whatsoever. I consider it worthless so I removed it. And since it's my character I'll "play how I want." LOL :P
