No loyalty reward for beta testers which paid ZOS first year. DEMAND FOR REAL REWARD FOR PREORDERS.

It remains to be seen if it will be "worth it." That depends entirely upon what those crowns will buy you and we don't yet know the pricing structure.

Well I don't think it is a good idea to give everyone rewards who has played the game before the B2P, but I do agree that the 6/9/12 month plan is a bit strict considering the fact that Zenimax told us before launch that there would be an update every 4-6 weeks, well as it seems 1.6 will the 6th and last update during the subscription period in the games history, they should take it into consideration that in 52 weeks we should have gotten 8 to 9 updates at least.

So in my opinion the "Thank you" gifting should be set with 3/6/9 months rather than the 6/9/12 since you really can't blame the players not playing when there was nothing new to do during those 3 months.

Just an FYI...

Many developers have been shady. Most noticeably Arenanet with GW2. Theres a game that is riddled with controversy and argument concerning nearly every big decision arenanet has made. It started three months after launch with the addition of a new tier of gear when developers hinted at no gear grind and never hinted at a new tier...etc etc, more controversial decisions came afterward, blah blah. Every day people are complaining about that game.

Two facts about it:
It is Buy 2 Play with a cash shop, just like ESO is going to be.
It is still here, doing fine, and pumping out a lot of patches, content and updates.

Long story short: ESO will be fine, ESO will still be here going strong in a year from now with or without you veterans that have been playing since beta.

So in reality the only truly exclusive pet thus far is the one that beta-testers received - ie the imagkin monkey.

Imhakin monkey - 35-40$ on ebay now. Seems most codes are sold out, but you can still buy it.

Definitely sucks.

We were misled, deliberately. We continued to pay $15/month and endured the frustration and even defended the game in the belief (or is it hope?) that the game would eventually get fixed and that what we were led to believe would be delivered would in fact be delivered. We were wrong. We were sheep and we got fleeced.

I don't expect people new to the game to understand. I don't even expect people who started three months after release to understand. But those of us who eagerly anticipated the game years before release and read what was being said by ZOS about it, who beta tested it, continued past release paying to beta test it... we understand and we deserved something akin to VIP status... continued FULL access to the game with no subscription required.

You get 100 Crowns for every month that you have subscribed between launch and the date in March when ESO:Tamriel Unlimited (or whatever it's called now) takes effect. If you have subbed since the original launch that would be 1200 Crowns, 100 for each month. You will also get 500 Crowns for buying the game - which will be the same for anyone, whether they bought in 2014 or 2015 onward. That would be 1700 Crowns for someone that has played since the game came out. If you maintain your sub a month at a time after it changes in March 2015 you will receive 3200 Crowns that first month to spend as you like.

You should be marked as ZOS guy. Just calculate the price you paid for these silly 1700 crowns and keep in mind that everyone will get at least 1500 every month.

Not everyone will get 1500 crowns per month, only the ESOplus members paying a subscription.

And no one paid for those "silly 1700 crowns", people paid for a game that they've been playing for almost year and that they've enjoyed enough to keep paying $15/month.

Well said. I signed up for the beta as soon as I heard about it, played every beta weekend I was invited to, preordered, played through the bugs, bots and phasing issues of the early days, lost almost a month of play time because of the bank bug and still I supported Zenimax with my subscription and told everyone what a fun game it was. Because of the bank bug I did end up with two sets of the explorers pack, two rings of Mara, two monkeys and two crabs...so I can honestly say Zenimax gave me crabs.

Yeah, those were the rewards for getting in at launch. The only exception are the people who lucked out and found a preorder box on shelves months later.

I don't think they're planning on continuing with the subscription duration rewards.

The ability to be any race and pet can be bought from the cash shop.

I agree it is rather a paltry sum compared to what subs get. I can't see why they won't bump it to 500 or 400 at minimum.

It wouldn't break their bank as the loyal subscribers have practically bankrolled their launch. But I guess we will have to wait and see how items are on the cash shop.

But I will be incredible pissed off if the cheapest item in the shop is over 150 crowns making the 100 crowns we subscribed for since launch useless.

I don't want to look back at this game I supported since launch with my money and loyalty and say "Well at least I can get a few free filled soul gems for my of loyalty and patience.".

they said that 1500 crowns would be given for each month left on a subscribers membership. So if the reward for beta testers is 100 crowns per month sbscribed. So add that up. Its not even 15 dollars worth of crowns. Which im guessing even the 1500 crowns won't get you much. Though they were talkin like you walking around lik you won the lotery. lol. Handfulls of crowns is more like having a handful of lent, some breadcrumbs from that pb&J you had wrapped up in paper towel, some *** hair and a penny.

Yep PGI did on their 1 year anniversary lots of goodies to be had for the guys who supported them. This was after they kicked out their Publisher and bought back their own game, from then on the guys there have be working their Ar$es off trying to make the game better, talking to the player base and actually acting on the feedback. No, the only way you would have had to pay for it separately is if you preordered from one of the resellers that was gutting boxes and selling the Explorer pack as a separate upcharge. I can't remember who, but I know one of the online stores that was caught moving stolen Sniper Elite 3 codes was one of them.
