B2P positive vibes and a question

So let me start by saying so far im in support of the new model that has been presented. We currently subscribe to game and they put out content. When the games goes B2P our subs wont go up and we still get that content. To me this doesn't change anything differently from what im doing right now. I actually think that because they are adding the bonuses to gold and exp we are gaining more than we would have had before. If you stop your sub right now you wont get to play the game...just like after B2P if you unsub you wont get to play " pieces" of the game. This model makes it so the console gamers dont get the shaft....and allows for more casual players to be just that...casual without having to damage their wallet for a game they cant play as much as some of us. Also please for the love of god keep Pay2Win items out of the store.

That being said....im very angry about the way this whole thing was handled by ZOS (mainly the timeline of the announcement and the lack or transparency and clarity since the beginning of December). Thats all i have to say about that.

If you are planning on leaving the game...im sorry and ill miss having you around....if your staying or new to the game check out this thread

I have a question that i think is important and being overlooked:
If a player gets 10% exp bonus for subbing...does the Mara bonus and enlightenment bonus stack with that ?

Thats all i have right now. Lets keep our chins up going forward.

That which we obtain to cheap we esteem to lightly, it is dearness only that gives everything its value.

Great points you made. I agree with all of them...except I am not so mad as I am upset and disappointed in ZOS...it could have been handled better to be sure.

The thing is there are plenty of examples of previous games going down the 'hybrid' road (having both free-to-play and paid-subscription options in one game) and they show how badly things can turn out (LOTRO), though others (Rift) were far less affected.

I've played those two and SW:TOR since release and do so even today and so have seen them go through this situation .. accompanied by the same knee-jerk reactions from those who want to think themselves superior to the 'kids' (as they often refer to those who only play games that are free).

These people prattle on about how the community will suffer and influx of 'kids', the reality is that yes, some undesirables will start playing .. but then this game has had that type of player from the start too .. but my experience of Rift and LoTRO is that this is a minor non-event.

No, the main reason for all the hate is simply people who don't know, have never experienced it first-hand, making things up and reading haters on other game sites and concluding they know what's going to happen and that it'll be bad.

The hybrid business model isn't bad, it isn't what turned LOTRO into a dire experience, it took the developer (Turbine) to do that .. what happens to ESO is in ZOS' hands, their integrity will determine how much the ESO game experience will change .. but web forums are full of knee-jerkers who want it and want it NOW, the concept of 'waint and see' is beyond their low intellect to be able to understand.
