otherwise, i think i'll be fine.
don´t be fearsome - no dlcs until september/october otherwise their new ca$h cow the console players would go berzerk if they would have an initial paywall consitiing of TESO quitelimited(~100$+0-200%[normal console full game prizes]) + 2-4 DLCs for 20$ each ....

Lawrence Schick isn't Michael Kirkbride, this game isn't canon.

ZOS isn't Bethseda, this isn't a real ESO game, just a MMO with some similar 'themes'

Wait, Cyrodiil isn't an insane jungle overgrowth before Talos re-shaped it? GAME BREAKING! (Because you know, not other historical/religious literature in our RL society takes liberties with metaphors.)

I just listened to shoddy cast, this will be a $15/month subscription game? Josh and Kyle don't understand this, it's an archaic business model. Fans are confused, outraged. Everyone would prefer a B2P model.

Mega servers? This is going to be horrible the streets will be too crowded with kids.

Instancing? How will I play with my friends?

Wait, this game has no 1st person?

Guys did you see that leaked beta gameplay footage? WTF? This game is going to fail.

Worst launch in any game history! I remember being able to log right into WOW, Ultima Online's Shards were never down. Jita never Crashed in EVE.

Gold/Node Farmers, Spam bots! This game is ruined and will be offline in a month.

    Forward camps are ruining everything

I miss Forward camps, Cyrodiil sucks now.

DK's are evil, they eat children and cause global warming.

These knee jerk reactions are usually indicative to a sense of entitlement. A generation raised by those who sooner pacify an irritant rather than weather the tantrum to convey a truth. The world is unfair, and you do not always get what you want.

This game belongs the team at ZOS. They made it for us. They will continue to develop it for us, but it is their vision, and vision changes as time progresses. It clarifies, it focuses, it meanders from one interest to the next.

We are invited and welcomed to come along for the ride. There is much to see and enjoy along the way. ZOS seems quite willing to listen to our opinions and ideas, but we should never make the mistake in thinking we are driving this car.

Besides, throwing fits on the internet makes you look like a fool.

"Elder Stores Online" will be fine if they stick to what they have said. Lets hope the backlash from this announcement leads to more transparency and consistency in the future.

And as the shock of the announcement wears off, I'm getting excited about hordes of new players in Cyrodiil :)

If you don't see the pay model change as a sign the game is indeed not doing well , I have a 72 Dodge Dart for sale and its runs great most of the time , it's just free to work on till its paid off ...

Not sure why people quitting now. I mean , I am concerned , little pessimistic about this whole B2P thing, but at least I have till March to enjoy wonderful game and after that we will see, maybe it's not going to be bad after all, despite that history with previous games, that went same route, says otherwise. But it's always first time. One can hope... Was planning to play this for years to come..

That's a fair statement . I think most are hoping this will be the first time a buy to play format will succeed , but with a healthy amount of skepticism . None of the major pvp issues have been addressed so far . It could be the CS is there solution . We will see ....

After reading the notes, I just resubbed for 90 days. They way they are doing this is very good. No P2W, but just small time savers and cosmetic things.

Though I would like to have priority queue to Cyrodil for subbers.

While you do have a point about the entitlment generation and the absurd amount of kneejerk reaction most online comunity have, you're quite wrong on what is happenning currently.

We're not just along for the ride. We're the customers and ZOS is the taxi driver.
They are free to take the road they want, but they have to get us to our destination or we'll simply get off.

The very core of the subscription model is that the subscribers are paying for ongoing improvement to the game. You do not pay $15 a month for servers and you've already paid for pre-launch development with the box price.
in that sense, we're a form of "investors" in the games future and trust, faith and goodwill are the most valuable comodity for MMO devs.

We were sold a concept of a game. One were RvR would be at the forefront of the team's efforts and that the game would remain a subscription based MMO because the team leads were aware of how destructive the f2p model is.

Neither turned out to be true.
it's forgiveable that AvA went on the backseat as core character progression was broken at launch, and that PvE is used by the entirety of the game population. But breaking and changing the business model is not acceptable.

Devs doing this are not only dooming their own game, but the games to come as there will be less and less trust in MMOs at launch. The proper move nowadays is not to support the game but just wait for it to either mature or go f2p.

This is not entitlement, this is a rightfuly feeling ripped off.

Peopel are quiting now because they do not want to support a game that made a borderline dishonest switch to f2p.
And make no mistake, b2p is f2p, you just pay for the right to use the cash shop.

In the f2p model whether you pay or you are content for those who pay. By just playing and being out there in Cyrodill as a target, an ally, a group leader or whatever, you are supporting the game.
Many people feel that ZOS does not deserve their support anymore, hence they are quiting.
