I feel like my subscription from this past year is paying for future DLC

In all honesty, we haven't received much in the way of new stuff since the game went gold. We got:

- Craglorn, which should have been included in the initial live offering when the game first went gold.

- A dye system and guild tabards. Once again, this should have been included in the initial product.

- Veteran City of Ash. Okay?

- Bug Fixes.

- Champion system, which is ZOS simply fixing their mistake.

- Justice system. This is actually cool, but I feel as though it's the only thing our subscriptions have paid for that's actually worth while and it hasn't even come out yet.

I feel as though all of the other future content, such as Wrothgar, Clockwork City, Murkmire, Imperial City, Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood have already been bought and paid for by our continued subscriptions over the past year, but will now be released as DLC, which we'll have to pay for again. We have literally funded the development of these products and now they want to charge us again?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of this game and of the devs in general. They all seem like good guys and of course this is a business. However, that doesn't negate the fact that we're being charged twice.

Uhh, that's precisely what it does, that and cash shop development that probably took them at least six months.

I would argue that if they had produced a sufficient amount of new content after release, I would have felt as though I was paying a subscription fee to access new content that was already developed and playable. However, that wasn't the case. I paid $80, or whatever the amount of the imperial edition was, to access the game as it existed when first released. A very small amount of money from our continued subscriptions then went to server maintenance (I work in a Data Hall and I know it doesn't require much to maintain servers outside of power usage and a small IT team) and the development of future DLC, which we will have to pay for again.

With most MMOs, the devs use pre-existing funds to develop new content for subscribers. We then pay our fee to access that content and for them to further develop more content in the future. ESO didn't really offer us much of anything in new content this past year and so the payoff for subscribing to this game won't come until later and it will be in the form of DLC, which we will have to pay for again.

Am I making sense? It's early and I haven't had any coffee yet =/ I'm basically saying that due to the lack of new content this past year, there's no justification for the $15 subscription fee we've all been paying and I'm kind of offended they've held on on releasing new content until after the game goes B2P. We've literally already funded the development of the future content of this game and now they want to charge us again. It's just poor business practice.

Don't take me too seriously though of course. I'm a little meh about the situation, but I honestly don't care that much about it and will more than likely continue to play and pay for this game. I'm just a little miffed at being charged twice is all.
