Would you like to see player housing as a feature for the premium subscription?

I've always loved the idea of a purchasable house with upgradeable storage options. Now that there will be a premium subscription when we go B2P, I think this may be a great incentive to keep your subscriptions. I've always envisioned an instanced player house that you can invite other players into, along with the option to buy furniture pieces to add to a separate central bank. (If anyone is familiar with GTA Online and how it does apartments, something similar in nature)

So would you like to see player housing & storage added to the premium subscription?

If you have any other suggestions feel free to comment.

EDIT:
Of course I could have done the option of C) Player housing with no sub.. But I know this would have been popular and the intent is to see if this would be a large incentive for us to all maintain our subs.
Another suggestion:Since some said well what would the house be used for.. What if ZOS gave us free teleports to our house and we would have a housecarl/merchant that we could use to sell off inventory to? This would make the houses much more functional and appealing. We have to go to banks non stop, so why not make houses just as functional. Id keep my sub for that.

whats the point of having a house? what are you going to do in said house, sure extra storage would be good so why not just ask for more storage?

A lot of people love the player housing feature that has become a staple of the ES series. I'm no big fan myself, but it would make sense to add it to an ES MMO as well.

What I do in the other games, sit by my fire and read lore books.

Though I would prefer a housing system be available for all, with a few options (like race specific housing?) for paid subscribers.

Did you never play Skyrim and build your own? It's an awesome immersive extra with many mods available on the Nexus. Definitely a yes for this.

    Why player housing?

To be able to RP with friends without the trolls, of course.

It would likely just be sent to you in the mail, same as when something you have on the trader's time expires.

I won't answer the poll because there are not enough options.

I want it as a DLC which can either be accessed by premium account or, if you don't have one, by a price. Just like they f***ing said that system would work.

(And it will work like that as long as it is the system promising the most income for Zenimax)

No. If they start paygating certain content like that the game crashes and burns. Charge for the DLC but don't put content behind a subscription paywall after you've gotten rid of subscriptions or the backlash will sink the game.

I would hope they're smart enough to realize that.

premium features are already listed. what you are asking for is free content. that doesnt exist now.. either you will get enough crowns from monthly sub to pay for housing, or you will save them up or the best option just go straight to the store spend some more money for , more corwns. and buy your housing.
damn just sounds epic doesnt it?

I would accept it as DLC that was free for premium members and purchasable in the cash-shop, but I would prefer it as one of the free "gameplay updates" for everyone, with optional extra cosmetics as cash-shop purchases.

    Agree.

I would rather they spend their development resources on something else first, like Cyrodiil additions/improvements for pvpers.

For the most part, I think the end is in sight for major base game updates. These would be updates that are free, just for purchasing the base game.

If they intend for this to work, they will have to start selling paid content. Gone are the days when they just roll out a cool feature. If it cannot be directly monetized, then it is profitable only if it attracts more base game sales or retains potential customers.

All of these things now have to be looked at as ways to collect revenue. The more people want them and the less general they are, the more profitable they will be and the easier it will be to sell the feature.

If you take what we know today and look back on 2014, we have already had what would have been paid DLCs. The two Craglorn updates, Dragonstar, Veteran City of Ash, and Trials would have been paid content. I expect that Dyes would have also been paid content.

they should have housing in the beginning for everybody.. those who started Elder Scrolls because of the 1 player really expected housing right away. It was a big part of those games.

Making that a premium for premium players is just kind of silly.

This is were my signature would be if I was allowed one.

Have you tried ArcheAge? That is one messed up housing issue, with full of exploits and you need to keep b2p everyday to just keep the house.

Equivalently in ESO, you would see, that you need first spend crowns to compete for a land spot (only a first 100 players will get it), then you pay crowns everydays to maintain, then you'd pay even more crowns as tax on weekly basis. And, btw, each server you can only have about one hundred players with house. Otherwise, you need to wait for someone to lose their house to a tax lien. But you'll have to be in line (a very long one) for it.

Yes. Added storage is a brilliant idea, and we all need more of that desperately. As long as its more like Skyrim, or even Wildstar, and nothing like a Garrison.

    My hopes/thoughts/expectations for these things:
    • Spellcrafting - [hope] will be free "gameplay", but [expectation] some of the spells will be in DLC zones
    • Jewelcrafting - [hope] will be free "gameplay"
    • Dark Brotherhood - [thought] interesting... as a TES staple, it should be added for free, but they may want to make it paid DLC...
    • Thieves' Guild - as above
    • Imperial City - [hope] considering how much we've heard about it, and the fact that it is supposed to improve PvP for everyone, it should be free
    • Murkmire - [expectation] this will most likely be paid DLC, but I don't mind that
    • Wrothgar - [expectation] DLC again
    • Housing - [hope] will be free "gameplay", with [thought] a number of extras available in the cash shop

Dragonstar and Trials were with Craglorn, and I don't think they would have charged for dyes. That makes four of the five updates equivalent to a paid DLC, and I think that's reasonable. If they can keep content coming at the same rate, that would be great. I wonder if they won't be able to do that though.

Of course I would like player housing, but there is SOOOO many other things I would prefer WAY more. What does housing do for you? Cosmetic addition to storage? Is this worth the time and effort for distraction content? They're about to make this MMO B2P and if they don't get their act together quick... well I guess it won't matter because they'll already make the majority of the money the game will ever produce* when the game re-releases in March.
    *a joke :p

From my understanding housing is something that sounds nice, but then once its said and done you won't ever touch it again. I can't think of a reason for houses to be added into the game and you shouldn't try to make up reasons just to get this in the game. Its a waste of time.

I mean te game doesn't even feel stable!! I did vet CoH a few nights ago and was astonished by the latency issues our party was having. Getting rid of critters, reducing spell particles and even reducing Cyrodiil population cap has NOT fixed the issues with lag in PvP. The only PvP that is. Its fine the majority of the time yes, but when it comes down to those critical moments and the game becomes unplayable for a minute or two then all of a sudden you see your scroll half way across the map... HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE? Give me steady PvP or give me new PvP. I don't care which just do it and stop wasting your time with ***!

How about houses for everyone, just non-subscribing players have to pay a (reasonable) monthly upkeep fee (rent or whatever) with in game gold? (Not Crowns.)
And definitely Wildstar like housing, please no Lotro housing. If you are going to charge people anything, it needs to be worth it.

Look at SW-TOR... its introduction to housing was just another opportunity to suck cash out of players' wallets... and it wasn't well integrated into the game.

Quite frankly, story-based games do not lend themselves well to housing.

If it was offered, the only reason I'd want it would be for the additional storage/bank space (presuming that was part of the deal).
