As a hardcore player I like to keep up with everything I can about ESO. My brother works for one of the console company's mentioned out of respect for THEIR privacy I wont say which one and I have followed this on G4 and other gaming sites that are a little more flexible with allowing players to share their views. Anyways can you confirm over 600 subs/console preorders cancelled so far? If so is there any plan to reverse this course as the player base you reported asked for this change so far in polls shows a 72% against it view

they would never confirm that. if they do give you a response it's either going to be a lie or they're going to avoid the question.That which we obtain to cheap we esteem to lightly, it is dearness only that gives everything its value.

If they only lost 600 subs / pre-orders then I think we can safely say the collateral damage was quite low.

Wake me up when it hits 10k. Not a big deal if it's below that - likely not a big deal even above that for ZOS.
I'm disappointed by this change, but the more I hear the details the more okay I am with it. And frankly I think anyone unsubbing over it is just QQing.5 -

tpanisiakb16_ESO✭✭✭✭Almost always F2P / B2P will bring in more people than it loses. It's whether or not they can retain the new players that matter for quality content and longevity.
I assure you, in the real world and in the online world your unsubbing matters not to anyone. When faced with shutting your game down, laying off your employees, or not getting enough profits you too would transition to other business models. And if not? Then you're not cut out for reality, tough luck.
Be assured that at least ZOS tried for our sake, and tried to get Microsoft to drop the online fee for Xbone. Be assured that ZOS had full intentions to run ESO as a sub-only model; but ultimately you and I couldn't keep them afloat when faced with uncertainty. Should change scare you then you are free to leave as is anyone who is unhappy, but reality is your subscription wasn't enough to help them then and your unsubbing hardly matters when the gap you left is filled in by 10 other people who've always wanted to check the game out.2 -

I liked your post. When I think about it I have max level (or what used to be max level) characters sitting on a server somewhere in six major MMOs. I play until it's not fun any longer then move to something else.
The community in some of the previous games has added significantly to the fun and I stayed longer.
This will now be like others, zone chat off, ignore list long, me and my girlfriend duoing until we can't any longer and then moving on...
Is this disappointing, yes, because this was the best community in a game in years. Is it the /slashwrists represented by deleting your toons and uninstalling, nah.
