It's been a huge day for ESO, if it's for the better or for worse only time (And ZOS) will be able to tell.

My question, however, is this: How much will each item cost in the cash shop?
Will subscribers with their 1500 crowns per month have enough crowns to buy everything? Or will we also have to buy more crowns on top of the sub fee?

I would put my crowns up to bet that if not on the FIRST month... eventually there will be more than 1500 Crowns (clowns? lol) worth of items per month. This is especially true because SOME of those items are consumables.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

Yep, this is what's worrying me mostly. Well, consumables, as long as they stay the same, they can keep those.
But, as a subscriber, I know I'd like to be able to get every single mount, every single outfit for free, as it's actual content we're talking about.

Wait... The Crown store is going to be on the PTS? I assumed that the stuff they put on the PTS would just be all of the CP system and other stuff that they've been talking about for so long. I thought all of the Crown store stuff wouldn't show up in even a test form until it went live.

Matt or Paul, can't remember which, said in today's Live Stream that it'll all be there when 1.6 is on PTS, which they are trying to push this coming Monday. And since the PTS is going down for maintenance tomorrow it's very likely that'll happen.

Has Zenimax said that ANY content that comes out in the future WON'T be fully available via ESO Plus? Nope, they said it's ALL available. I don't give 2 sheets about cosmetic crap, it doesn't hinder my playing experience at all. There has been nothing listed that'll be in the cash shop that's part of a playable game, other than future DLC which ESO Plus members won't have to pay any extra for.

ESO Plus gives you 1500 Crowns per month. If they crank out more than 1500 Crowns worth of shop items per month, you won't be able to get them all.
Not to mention that ESO Plus only "rents" any and all DLC. If you cancel your Plus subscription but still want to play the game, you'll have ZERO DLC and will have to purchase it in order to access it.

Well if SWTOR is any indicative, then, say, you get 1500 Crowns a month.
That new super shiny mount is going to cost something along the lines of 1800 crowns.

That's what's the MMO history is indicating so far.

It does and your argument is poor. Check the current cash shop right now HERE. You will see Palomino Horse for sale for $14.99. Everyone currently is paying a monthly subscription, are you saying that they don't have access to everything in the game because there's a single Horse for sale on the cash shop? That's a stretch if I've ever heard one. Vanity crap is NOT "part of the game" it's an addition to it. The almighty Blizzard has been selling players that kind of junk for YEARS and it's a sub based game.

as a sub the free 1500 crowns you probly can have all that stuff eventually for free just may take a few months of crown saving

Do I lose all items and rewards earned from DLC if my ESO Plus membership ends?
No. You will lose access to the DLC areas and quests should your membership lapse (unless you purchase the DLC separately in the Crown Store), but you will keep all items and rewards earned through the content.

I've read that too, it does NOT say that once you decide to sub again that you have to pay for the DLC's. Therefore you do NOT have to pay for them twice as 2 posters have said. The only way you'd have to purchase the DLC's is if you decided to never again pay for ESO Plus, something entirely different that what was said above. While you are an ESO Plus member you have full access to the game, exactly what I said.

No, but the moment your sub lapses you lose access to everything. So they will need to balance subbing vs buying DLC separate.

Which is exactly how the game works right now. I can understand concerns about Pay-2-Win or an influx of immature players or more emphasis on cash shop fluff than content, but ... having to keep up a subscription to have access to all content? That is the current model!

Not to forget you'd not only lose access to updates and DLCs under the current model, but would have no access to the game at all. So that part of the deal actually is a whole lot better than what we got now.

They also stated in the FAQ that you keep everything you gained while in any DLC Zone (so far Zones seem to be what DLC's will be, like Wrothgar). That means gear, XP, Achievements, completed quest count, etc. Yes, you might lose access to the Zone itself until you resub, or decide to buy the DLC if you never plan to resub. But you still have full access to EVERYTHING while being an ESO Plus member, which is the same as right now.

No. You will lose access to the DLC areas and quests should your membership lapse (unless you purchase the DLC separately in the Crown Store), but you will keep all items and rewards earned through the content."

All DLC zones, quests, etc. are "rented". You'll have to save your Crowns to purchase all of the DLC if you ever decide to drop your Plus subscription and still play the game (and still have access to DLC areas/quests/etc.).

    Alright, purchasing power.

    What we know so far:
    • a month subscription equals 1500 crowns
    What this suggests:
    • 15$=1500 crowns
Taking into account what we know from other MMOs
    • they never pay the subs worth in cash shop currency
    This leads to
    • 1$ =/= 100 crowns, probably much less
    and offers the insight of
    • your part folks, I'm runnin' outta booze
