Probably a script to keep them logged in by doing a certain series of actions. One of the large AD PvP guilds does this near keeps/outposts to get defense ticks.

OR

They are just playing and haven't logged out yet.

Both scenarios are valid.

I remember Rylana leveled out while Emperor in Blackwater. I've seen a few lvl 49s leave mid game, but the first one is definite because there was a campaign wide message broadcast about it.

If you are still seeing vets in BB, I would bug report them.

Actually I hit v1 defending ash, once the keep was secure I ported back to spawn and left of my own accord, trying to set a standard because at the time we had people glitching the system to stay logged in constantly and be in the campaign up to v3 and v4.

There are ways to circumnavigate the systam, but I dont want to share those. Nor have I ever condoned cheating. I even sent a tell to one guy on EP the same day I left that he ought to leave because he was v1 as well.

But yes, if you are vet rank and either log out or port to another zone (even another campaign) it force-abdicates you and you cannot get back in. I didnt leave the campaign though, I ported to stonefalls. The system wide message was when I ported.

Yes, I've seen a VR2 player in BB once. No idea how he leveled so fast without logging out, but he was there.

When I reached vet in BB I remained there as a VR1 for the night, but when I logged in the next day I couldn't get back in (was ported to Deshaan I think) and got the same rewards you get when the campaign is over.

I've got a level 46 sorc I might have to level up close to pinging VR1 just so I can get people to report me hehehehe.
