Where is PVP Going?

If ZOS is able to implement a store without P2W elements (for the sake of argument lets assume this works), is there any reason for PVPers to maintain a sub? I mean outside of +10% gold gains, if you have a max character with all crafting maxed what is the point of getting the "Plus" subscription? Will the 10% exp gains apply to champion point gains in Cyrodiil?

Will any DLC be for PVP? Or will you just have to get the DLC so you can grind out the new hottest gear sets, then go right back to Cyrodiil. Where is this going ZOS? Will PVP always be the third wheel, the part of the game that started as a good idea and then became the unloved and neglected stepchild?

It has been claimed that no "items" that offer a combat advantage will be sold in the store, but what about items and gear sets in the DLC? This seems like a round-about way of adding P2W elements into the store (and another way to make PVPers participate in the PVE content).

I want this to work, I really do. Which is the point of this thread, to bring up concerns about the future of PVP that members of the PVP community have (in the most non-QQ thread-closing manner possible :)).

Speaking of DLC, does this mean the Imperial City will also be considered DLC?

I have a strong feeling that Imperial City will be listed as "Premium Content" and ESO Plus will be required to enter.

Of course it will, otherwise why would you pay for Premium Content. Any new lands, etc, will be Premium Content. Since I plan on continuing my 3 month sub/premium payments, it will make no difference to me. If I still enjoy the game in 3, 6 ,9 months or whenever, I'll keep playing it. If it gets to the point, (as so many B2P MMOs do), where I have to buy store items to keep up with others and play the way I want, then I'll quit. So far, I'm taking the wait and see attitude.

This is my worry. That the only way to get PVPers to pay the sub or buy the DLC is to make it somewhat pay-to-win. If you really get no combat advantage from any of the stuff/places, not many PVPers would spend the money. So in order to get us to participate (in the subs) they are going to have to add P2W elements. I hope this does not happen.
