I believe we've been fleeced enough into believing this would be a subscription MMO community only to have the surprise of F2P thrown at Us . Give SOMETHING back to the loyal customers that stayed through all the bugs and broken content . Give current subscribers full access free of charge till the new pay model releases March . Try to make something up to the people you let down ZOS . Other MMO's did this before F2P and you should too .

That might make 30 day subbers happy, but pretty much is a big F Y to 90 and 180 subbers, whose subs will still be active and converted automatically to ESO Plus.

I'm not going to. I have 10 days left, then I'm gone until 1.6 - a lot of people will probably do the same. The real kicker is that ZOS kept us hanging for months without new content, now we know the entire model is changing, but they still expect us to pay for testing this stuff on the PTS. Come on.

I saw the writing on the wall and cancelled two weeks ago. Glad I did. I'm glad I bought this game on steam for cheap and only did one month, I can only imagine how long term subscribers feel.

B2P is just a pay wall to F2P . The model for revenue generation is still the same old F2P model . Once numbers go down again they'll remove the pay wall like everyone else so I don't care to debate to F2P / B2P regurgitated material . This thread is about ZOS making something right from a decision many feel was wrong .

I like how in the ESO:Live they were all very carefull to say "subscription free" and not mention F2P/P2W/B2P.
With all the Crowns they are shoving down current subscribers throats thou it does look very much like your gonna need lots of Crowns to buy stuff ....P2W.

One of the problems I see with peeps comparing it to SWtoR is that about 50% of all cash shop sales are for Strongholds (player housing) 25% for crafting mats and the rest on costume armours (my opinion from playing)
ESO don't have player housing, IF your gonna have to buy special mats to craft with (like I said you'd have to when spellcrafting was pulled) then that's P2W.
So......everyone is going to just spend RL cash on buying useless costumes?? I don't think so

P2W Items galore.

SWTOR still has a subscription option. Playing it for free you are really limited on what you can do. ESO sounds like a different model to me. You get most everything with the box purchase then they prob nickle dime you to death in game.

Ya I firmly believe there is no way they can make a profit without selling items which people will use for advantage. You cant pull in millions selling costumes and mounts. You need something people will buy over and over. Like XP boosts for example or other pay to win items.

No, there isn't. Remove initial purchase and they are identical, in 6 months there will be another announcement of new and exciting changes. This is easing the people into F2P, LOTRO did the same. Objective here is to have a cash shop and milk as much money from it as possible.

I'm gonna continue and sub for 3 mos at a time, I played Neverwinter (and that is P2W, and had like 4 stupid types of currency, I never did PvP though because of the P2W stuff.) and I stayed for 3 mos, give or take to wait on ESO to come out, Sooooo I will stick it out and see what happens....
