Flower despawn.

Quick one.
If trunks/pots etc. get empty after looking into them and leaving stuff behind can we make flowers dissapear when someone lacking basics of human interaction leaves worms in the flower?

    Yes, I agree.

It doesn't really make sense for a flower to be visible in the world only to find it's a worm or crawlers instead.
If you can be anything, be kind.

Please please please! No more worns! Either respawn nodes or force people to loot everything or nothing. Thanks whisky bob - it's good to see that people do still care :) I know I do :)

It's fine as it is. If someone harvests a flower and gets a worm or something and leaves it behind, it's their prerogative. If you decide to clean it ir leave it, that is your choice.

With fish actually serving a purpose in the new provisioning people will start to need worms anyway so the problem will reduce.

When you put it that way, it makes a lot of sense.

The issue as I understand it is that some harvesters like to run around harvesting with full inventories, so when they auto-loot an alchemy node they only pick up the flower (since they already have a partial stack of it) and leave everything else behind. Dustman can only delete what makes it to your inventory, I think.

Why these people insist on always having a full inventory I really couldn't tell you. I can't believe the alternative, that they aren't auto-looting and are intentionally leaving behind the trash, that would be a huge waste of time.

Since there will always be people that leave worms/crawlers behind (as well as cherry-pick enchanting runes), the only viable solution is to make ALL harvestable nodes despawn/respawn themselves on a regular basis.

ZOS may eventually realize this and do something about it at some point, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

in game feedback may just be more beneficial. I would think that intentionally leaving behind worms/ w/e would count as griefing.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Why would you think people "insist on always having a full inventory"?

Happened to me several times (I'm here since pre-launch) that I was on the way to the bank or merchant, saw a flower, picked it, and then I get that "gong" sound which tells me the inventory is full when it comes to taking the worm.

So what should players do, delete another (more valuable) item just to also take the worm which will get deleted afterwards anyways? I even did this a few times when I had another item of zero value (like hops and such) which I could throw out first, but.. it's annoying as hell to spend an extra minute just to take that worm.

I really wish there were no worms in any nodes in general, so everyone would be satisfied.
But I'm pretty sure that most players do not leave the worm behind on purpose. Well, exceptions are everywhere, just reading a few comments above..

I think that leaving worms behind and preventing node respawn should cause an instant teleport back to the wailing prison :D

As I wrote above, I think the majority of players don't do that on purpose (of course I'm still guessing, though). But yeah, it IS annoying as hell, either way, I found tons of these worm nodes myself already.

Same with chests I found which were unlocked and only had one item left, they don't respawn either. But, especially from these chests I come to the conclusion that it was not on purpose, who would leave behind a more or less valuable item if they'd have enough room in their inventory?

My suggestion would be to either remove these worms from nodes (not the players, but the devs remove them, I mean), or let them despawn/respawn after a minute, or whatever the most appropriate time would be. Again, same with chests, despawn/respawn.

With fishing having more of a use in the next update, maybe bait will actually be a more valuable commodity. Heck, you may find that you can't find worms at all anymore, because people are harvesting the nodes for the worms, and leaving the alchemical item behind! :)
