And i for one, consider justice system as content. It opens whole new areas of ganmeplay possibilities plus paves a road for Dark Brotherhood and Thieves guild.
Time is indeed running out on them meeting the deadline that they themselves set. And let me amend your previous statement. CUSTOMERS are impatient. It's not exactly like we're all free to play people here. We are paying for the game and all the services that entails. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for more communication. If you want to be a mushroom that's fine, it's your choice. Some of us however would like to be kept in the loop better.
So you mean to tell me that these people who are so anxious for the patch notes for 1.6, are actually going to stop being customers? I seem to think that those most anxious are probably the least likely to go anywhere.
Am I the only person that would rather an update take 3 months longer than planned, than to have them get it out on time but have it be a huge pile of crap?

Time is rapidly running out with 11 days left in January?
Even if they don't make the January deadline, so what?
I'm not sure what fairyland you people live in, but the entire world runs behind schedule a lot of times. Think of getting a prescription, building a house, dinner at a restaurant, the cable guy, airplanes.... all things you PAY FOR.
Seriously, this whole "I want everything and I want it now" mentality is tiresome.
Honestly, this is the part of game updates that I hate the most -- When we all get to find out which of our favorite addons no longer work, because the person who developed them quit playing the game since the last major update.every add-on will stop working

Some of them? Quite possibly. For some folks (and I am not necessarily including myself in their number) this is simply the the last straw before it breaks the camels back. They either are unhappy with game content, changes or lack thereof, bugs that seem to continue regardless of how many "fixes" go in, etc. This isn't a void where there is nothing else out there for them, there are plenty of other games on the market.
Now though you may be quite fine with discontent people leaving the game, Zenimax has a much more vested interest in trying to retain them. While some people that leave may come back later if they see changes they like, there are a number of them that will never return once they walk away. This is one of the major things that kills games. Changes coming in too late to make a difference for enough people to maintain the costs and viability.
I'm not threatening Zenimax with quitting or anything like that. If I want to quit, I won't post about it, I will simply do it. The reason I am on these forums and posting because I am looking to get communication from them. By the time I am fed up with their service or lack thereof, I will simply leave. As I mentioned in an earlier post, this isn't an ultimatum, it's a desire for more communication.

And in that world in which things fail to meet the deadlines on things being paid for, people can and do speak out about it. If you're happy towing the line with head bowed regardless of what happens, that's fine, that is your prerogative. However, if some people want to call them on it, that is theirs. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

In some ways it's unfair to compare them. In the ways that matter however it's not. 1.6 is supposed to have many of the elements that Skyrim and other TES titles already have. There are many things wrong with current version of ESO that could have, and in my opinion, should have been different from the beginning. The justice system and spell crafting are two examples of mechanics that will hopefully improve ESO and bring it closer to what a TES title should be like. Again this is my opinion, others may prefer a game that is more similar to WoW.eventide03b14a_ESO wrote: »I want the update to be quality too, but I haven't actually played the game in about 3 weeks now. I have been downloading mods for Skyrim and playing that. Sad that after 4 years Skyrim is still a better game than ESO. If I can't even see the contents of update 1.6 to know whether it's even worth it to keep paying for this game, then I will probably unsub until they actually release it. I don't see any reason to pay for something that I'm not using and the loss of one or two months of game time means what? I don't get another useless pet that takes up inventory space? So far what I've seen looks really promising but ZOS has a really bad habit of making this game practically unplayable, so we'll see.
Of course - comparing Skyrim and ESO makes a lot of sense... You do realize that it's idiotic to compare single player RPGs with MMOs?!

Running out of time on my sub that I kept only so I can test 1.6. on the PTS since the game does not offer absolutely any incentives to log on the live server at the moment.

Which is why I'm so amused by players rushing this one, heh.
Way to show solidarity to your fellow players who only want this to be a better game. People are leaving and if this continues the game will become F2P behind a paywall. You may not care about this game, but myself and many like me had high hopes for it.clocksstoppe wrote: »Merlin13KAGL wrote: »Running out of time for what, exactly?

Sounds like a problem on your side and not ZOS'. If you are burned out just quit.
I just wanted to say that I noted your use of the past tense there.eventide03b14a_ESO wrote: »...but myself and many like me had high hopes for it.
What exactly do people want ZoS to do? Release a major content package before its ready?
I think they will probably push to the PTS this weekend or Monday, and then go Live around Valentine's weekend. Also, the next Loyalty reward is close by.

I don't think so, at least not in regards to going live. A patch this large honestly needs to be on the test server for at least a month before getting pushed to live. When people complain that an update goes out too early (ie with too many bugs) that is centered more around Zenimax not having it on the test server long enough. I realize they have their own internal testing group but that will never come close to having the same number of people putting it through the paces as when it goes up on the public test server.

I'm hoping they are willing to wait this one out on PTS until it's ready to go live. I'm hoping for adequate testing and bug fixes.. which on a patch this big should be at least a month and several updated to PTS.
My fear is that won't happen. They'll cave to all of the "But you said February!" on the forums and push it too fast.
