Aren't racial motifs going to become a lot more expensive post-Justice system?

I've seen your common racial motifs going for as low as 150-200 gold each in zone chat recently. Aren't they going to become a lot harder to obtain after the justice system is implemented and you are forced to steal them? Seems like it would be smart to hoard them now and sell after the justice system is implemented on the live servers

You're not going to be forced to steal them, there will be lots of lootable containers in the world.

You won't be able to steal them from, like, houses in towns, but there's metric tons of lootable containers out in the world, anyway.

    Edit-

    Er... What Ahdora said :s

The drop rate (more to point spawn rate) will not change in 1.6. So if you farm them for yourself and your alts, it won't change a thing for you. It's only those who farm Motifs to sell that will possibly be impacted. Anything stolen cannot be sold to another Player, only vendored to a Fence or consumed by your account. @Ahdora is also correct, there will be TONS of containers that are not "owned" by any NPC and can be freely looted at will and the contents sold to others.

That said, will some Players take advantage of this change to jack up prices hoping to make a quick buck? YOU BET THEY WILL!!

    I call them "Domestic containers".
In theory, you are correct. At least that is the spin ZoS has put on it. But if you think about it, the vast majority of domestic containers are in fact inside of inhabited buildings. Dressers, cabinets, trunks, wardrobes, desks, nightstands etc.. are very seldom found in the wilderness or abandoned buildings. Most of them are found in homes, businesses, banks, castles, inns, and fighter/mage guild halls.

Provisioning (non domestic) containers are everywhere. But we all know how often they drop motifs or recipes. So this is actually a very interesting question. Almost every domestic container in the game is technically owned/used/supervised by some type of NPC. So are some of them going to be locked/guarded, while some will not be? If so, how many/what %?

I think I recall reading that some containers inside buildings won't be considered "locked" which would flag the infamy system. But depending on what the % is of locked containers compared to unlocked containers, we very easily could see a massive reduction in the amount of motifs being found and therefore sold, leading to an increase in value/price.

@Alphashado Agreed, it remains to be seen just how common/uncommon they will be once the Justice system is implemented. I just wanted to let the OP know that they will not be "forced" to steal them. :)

Actually, I expect the price of motifs to plummet in the short term since everyone is going to be breaking in the new justice system.

Panic at the initial implementation of the Justice system is likely to inflate prices in the short term but will hopefully settle down once people realise they are still able to obtain them fairly easily out in the world.
