Although that's a good point, that isn't why ZoS put in NPC collision. Paul Sage talked about it a long time ago in some video, it's for added realism. During early Beta there was no collision and players felt like they were fighting thin air and not something that was living-breathing in game.gimpdrb14_ESO wrote: »its there to stop trolls form standing on quest givers, vendors and important npc's preventing form interacting with them.

Also because a lot of people asked for it too.

I have played multiple mmo's for years and never had this issue. I can't imagine it would have been an issue now.

Alphashado wrote: »Yeah, collision was added because there was an overwhelming demand for it early in the game. Being able to run through a monster during combat felt very unrealistic. Collision detection with other players was left out in order to prevent issues in congested areas like banks etc.

Warhammer also had collision , however in pve there was no collision between players on the same faction, or guard npcs etc, mobs that were meant to be killed etc there was .
Same as in pvp the only time we had collision in pvp between guards or players on the same faction , was when there were enemy faction players nearby , as in within 100 ft .
Tanks were also able to be effective in pvp as they could block enemy players, they could also taunt enemy players , taunting didn`t force the player to attack you, but caused you to take extra damage from the tank.
healers and dps classes could detaunt other classes to take reduced damage from them .
ESO version of collision like a lot of their game mechanics , guild stores, phased questing, guild banks/functions, LFG tools etc are not as good as older MMO`s . you`d think they would be as good as if not better than games that had the same things years ago. not worse .
