Templar or Sorcerer

Hello,
I leveled a nightblade to v12 thinking it will be realy good for ganking since it has stealth and could get away from aoe spamming zergs, but sadly stealth is not working, i could not stealth and run away using my stamina dual daggers and 2h sword nightblade.

So now i am asking since most of the hard times in 1v1 i had with sorcs and templars , what should i lvl for ganking sorcs with their endless teleports or templars with realy nice magicka shields.
Dragon Knights were ok to kill since i could just use heated blades and they miss their whips.
I am new to eso and realy enjoing to pvp.

Maybe Sorcs because of crystal shard and the teleport.
But I doubt, you will deal enough damage to kill someone, until he gets up and heals up to 100%.

Stay with Nightblade, that's the best option. You don't get kills from blinking away. Stealh only requires a bit more skill.

having all 4 chars and playing them in pvp nbs are regarding ganking at a top spot, if you are not successfull with them you wont with any other char. sorc dmg out put is far behind for a bit more reliable exit tool. dks and temps have by far less dmg aswell and absolutly no exit option.

I also have all four classes, although my NB is my newest character and is only at level 6 at the moment. My first character/main is a Templar Imperial. I started playing her in pre-launch last April and got her to vr14 over several months during the time when Templars were considered the weakest class in the game by far.

My 2nd character is a vr14 Sorcerer, next is a level 46 DK, and the newest is the NB mentioned above. I've also tried all of the weapons in the game. Reason I mention weapons is they are one part of the answer to your question. My Templar's main weapon is a bow, but she can also use 2h sword and both staffs.

Bow is a great weapon for a NB if you can get your weapon damage up into overcharged. Snipe from stealth, then immediately stealth again and use the NB speed to dodge roll to another spot. Stay mobile. Go behind rocks or trees, set up, fire off a light attack of any spell, then hit with venom arrow, light attack, skill, light attack, skill, like a heartbeat. Keep mobile all the while.

This video is for a Templar build, but the principles of his build and the techniques the guy uses to keep mobile are perfect for a NB. You could adapt them to your NB and have a lot of success with practice. youtube.com/watch?v=e5rrj-T8ct8&list=PLNqYKcuxTPhK9ussIkerV9_3j4CqO2xt6

It's not about escape options primarily, it's about burst. You only have seconds to kill someone when ganking, before a third party gets involved in the fight. NB is superior is that department, due to passives and class skills. No other class can burn a single players health to 0 as quickly.

But yes, cloak will be interrupted when you're being attacked by multiple players. It wont work at all if you have 1 alliance NPC on you. Don't even bother ganking near keeps and resources. It's to annoying. Stealth is also buggy, same with being in- and out of combat. That's why you have to kill fast, than use cloak before his buddies starts nuking you. Invisibility potions are great for this and used by most filthy gankers. Pop one than hit cloak before it runs out, hopefully you can slip back to stealth from that. Dodge roll twice, than cloak, helps a little bit when people are attacking you.

I could tell you about skills you should use against sorc or a templar 1v1, but it's sort of pointless from a gank perspective. Because once your target start to recover, spamming shields, heals and blinks, the fight is no longer a gank it's upfront and sustained and will take time. They're friends might be nearby, so it's usually smarter to get away (unless you're both alone in the middle of nowhere).

problem with stealth and cloak is the execution time of alot of so called instant abilities. e.g. mages fury its an instant ability but it takes ~0.6 sec after hitting the spell button untill the sorc stopped waving her arms and the nice lightning stike is animated just after you have cloaked yourself - this activation delay is tied to nearly all non melee attacks and have in mind aswell that projectile attacks all have a travel time aswell (and some are awefully slow hello mr templar...).
other attacks as velociuos curs are not labeled as a dot and will never be cleansed by the cloak...
add on top of that server latancy and the entire skill becomes quite often useless.
so if you are useing cloak be sure your opponent(s) you want to escape from is(are) either hard cced or you are able to break los towards them before using it.

What is the main issue with sorc that really makes it hang in balance is their main nuke skill that is with cast time and the fact that with all the ppl that pvp have impenetrable in their armours so cant heal if i cant crit.. So far cast time never seemed attractive for me in pvp, maybe i can bolt away without ppl stopping me but can i dmg and win 1v2 as a sorc?
Venom arrow still will stun sorcs while they cast.
Probably i admire sorcs for their escape cause i don't know how to stop it.

Templar has awsome shield and heals and i can live with the lower dmg but same as my dk probably cant hide from zergs.
