To get rid of "Rewards for the Worthy" mails

We all know the pain of having to clean out our mails after a session of PvP. I propose we get rid of these annoyances with a simple replacement plan:

A quest that adds up your AP gained and gives you an equivalent gold amount as a reward. When turned in, all accumulated AP converts over to Gold.

The mails come every 3k AP or so and have about 120-190 gold (item + gold) currently, thus every 20ap = 1 gold. To take care of the equipment issue (Faction set items, not the crap stuff) they can be added to the store at a more affordable prices (say 250g/each still more expensive than if we were to farm them currently) and at proper levels, same with Filled Soul Gems. Or just add Soul Gems to the quest every say 12-15k AP (which seems to be about average) so if you turned in @ 45k AP, you get 3 soulgems too.

Bam! Simple solution to an annoyance that plagues all long-term PvPers.

i don't think its that big of a deal, I guess some people are more easily annoyed than others. id rather ZOS focus on real issues like mechanics, class balances and issues that seriously affect enjoyment of the game.

Different development teams, adding new features doesn't really impact fixing things. They can do multiple things at once.

Just need a vendor that holds all the free items. Take what you need, garbage what you don't. Never has to touch your inventory.

True, but an addon shouldn't replace basic quality of life stuff in the main game. Some things need to be in the base game to make everyones life a little bit easier. Rewards for the Worthy mails (and hireling mails for that matter) are just lazy implementation to get a system rolled out quickly and it's time to polish up the system.

I would have no problem with something like this being implemented.

However, I also clean out my mails on a daily basis. I usually wait till about 20 or 30 reward boxes, then clean em out, so I don't have an inbox problem.

But PvP is distracting, and one can have their inbox filled very fast, so I understand the frustration

This can be a relatively minor annoyance but rewards are also of great use to players leveling woodworking, blacksmith and clothing.

the addons
postmaster altered + junk buster + dustman

helped me alot. 1 klick all mails recieved 2 further clicks and all items i want are sold. invested time ~3sec.

This is the prime example of a non issue. Honestly. You want to over simplify something that's already simple. I don't even know... Don't you think the devs should be focusing on real problems?

Are you not aware that the ESO postal system have been taken over by deer who no longer have a place in Cyrodil and are feeling a little disgruntled. Mail is the #1 cause of lag right now, confirmed by my cousin who knows a guy who knows a guy that once shared his cig lighter with a janitor who mops the floors in the ZOS dev labs afterhours on wednesday nights, where he glimpsed some shady lookin deer typing some malicious code with their cute but devious noses

All ZoS has to do is make the occasional "reward for the worthy" be actually worthy. Problem solved. No more clogged mailboxes.

Direct deposit of gold into bank with zero additional effort required.

Direct deposit of equipment into an AvA bank slot where each piece expires in 30 days (not a max amt).

Those who want to level can deconstruct from anywhere just as the bank works today.

Those who don't care about the equipment can keep getting gold with no additional action required and ignore the equipment since it's self cleaning.

Edit: they've already built the expiration function for mail and the bank tabs coming in 1.6 for trophies could be extended to support this when the time is right.
