Some visual problems with armors and dyes

This is what happens when you wear the Daedric motif skirt with the Necromancer Robe.

And while I'm on the subject of the Daedric motif skirt....PLEASE make one available in ALL of the other motifs as well!

Most of the Daedric armors have this problem. Notice the big ugly brown leather waist cincher. Almost all pieces from this motif have some large brown leather area that CANNOT BE DYED! PLEASE FIX IT!

Also, regarding the pic above, please notice how hideously it take the Lamae White dye...or ANY light colored dye for that matter. What is with that nasty brown undertexture that will not go away? MOST fabric in the game suffers from this bizarre attempt at texturing. Guys...no matter how shiny the dye makes it guess what? It looks like BURLAP. You need SMOOTH, tightly woven textures that have the looks of silks or satins, NOT BURLAP.

Now here is an example of fabric done right in the game.

And here's my attempt at a close-up. (Which apparently failed miserably. :( )

Notice the beautiful subtle patterns in the fabric and the gorgeous tight weave and sheen. WHY are the Kahajiit the only race on Nirn to have figured out jacquered fabrics and textiles OTHER than BURLAP and leather????

PLEASE fix the undyeable portions of the Daedric motifs! PLEASE improve the actual FABRICS of the various light armors. Also, light armor does NOT need to look like LEATHER, not AT ALL.

This one believes it's because DaniAngione's kin are clearly the best crafters around Tamriel. The moons weep before your pitiful attempts to reproduce our beautiful clothing.

The robe in the second picture should be Dunmer style; only because of that huge brown belt I don't wear this anymore. They cannot be dyed, I was complaining about this months ago, too. The odd thing is, metal CAN be dyed, leather can't (at least some parts of it), what a joke.

Edit: if this is not a robe, then it must be the top of the Dunmer chest piece, at least. That belt comes with it, unfortunately.
I wish the actual belt would be a whole belt all around, not just the buckle. And the leather part dyeable. Then we would have more options to "get it right"...

I think you're right. To me Dunmer and Daedric motif stuff looks similar and I am forever getting them confused. But BOTH suffer from the undyeable brown leather portions! :( WTH ZOS????

Yes, I've seen both Daedric and Dunmer having that brown belt, it doesn't match any color I want to use on my armor. Also the Daedric boots (but medium) have a non-dyeable part on the backside, at the moment 2 of my characters (I think) have them equipped and it looks sh#tty.
Oh, and yes, Daedric and Dunmer style DO look similar, don't worry when you confuse them (happened to me, too^^).

Yeah when they can't even get the armor dyes completely right yet. Good luck with that!

Not quite as bad as missing parts. But I change colors every few days, not because I'm all girly or indecisive but because WHY DO MY PANTS LOOK LIKE A BUM? Shiny pretty top half, some old hag's pants I stole off a random clothes line.... :'(

WTF is that even? I was so happy to get out of a skirt too....Fix it ZOS!
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

I know what you mean, I had that problem way too often..
But nowadays I'm wearing both Daedric medium and Ancient Elf medium (pants) on several characters, they are pretty dark but still dyeable, plus their shapes are pretty cool.
The Daedric medium pants looks good with "Atmoran Bronze", I've noticed, it's not just bronze but also blue, so the pants have some "jeans" touch somehow^^ If you made the purple from your chest piece (on the picture) more blue-ish (like "Dolmen Deep Blue"), these pants would fit just perfectly to it with Atmoran Bronze :)

I really do hope the Devs point this thread out to the team responsible for the armors. New armors are great...but can we fix the ones we already have please?

Holy Dibella, the level of nitpicking on this thread is insane. The only legitimate complaint I see is the one on display in the first screenshot. That's at least a somewhat-serious display issue.

Most people in-game seem to be thrilled with the dye system, and they've found the right combination of clothing style and dye for their character. Complaining about the fabric texture for one style of clothing is ludicrous. The different styles have different textures precisely because they give people choices.

While the complaints I and others have about the "dirty" looking fabric textures is open for debate , the fact that MANY pieces have large prominent portions that you CANNOT recolor IS a failure in the design and needs to be addressed. Is it "game breaking?" Of course not. But it IS something the Devs need to know so they can put it on their laundry list of things to address "someday."
