    Why wasn't E R P a option ?
If I had to come up with an answer it's because RPr's are a subset of players either in PvE or PvP.

Sorry, mate. I had to pick I PvE. Although in the past I have gone to Cyrodiil to PvP, I found that it completely sucks in this game. So I no longer PvP in ESO.

Then you are either bad or you do not know what you are doing lol.

I play both about the same amount of time
its not about knowing what to do Darkload.....

In Age of Conan, I disliked pvp from day one, found it outer boring, and it almost made me consider never doing any pvp, since that was my only first encounter for pvp.

Thankfully there is a great pvp leader in HoS, that made me see different in pvp, and I love pvp in ESO now

Insightful, I suppose that explains why the PvPr's feel they need to stick out and yell the loudest on the forums as well. To be heard above the sea of PvEr's here? Note taken.

Edit: For the record, I also PvP and love it.

Well pvp is more competitive and if an ability is out of wack it effects all players on the battlefield. If an ability is out of wack for pve, its only going to *** off the npc's and I never see them post on the forums, lol. Now imagine your fighting a boss for weeks on end that makes it so you can barely do any damage to them and the damage you do gets reflected back at you for the entire fight. Not much fun is it, and guess what, pvpers are still waiting for that fix and it's been almost 2 months now. so yes we are loud, but not loud enough for a pushed fix apparently. Plus pvpers imo are feeling like second class citizens to you pve'ers who get new content every patch. You're living the good life sir, and I'm paying for your good time.

It's more of a scale thing for me. I don't really enjoy large scale pvp, I'm more of a arena, team objective guy. Not that the pvp in ESO is bad, unbalanced yes, bad no. I just kinda prefer the PvE to PvP in this game. Now if they did a bit of balancing and introduced arena or small scale objectives, I'd be all over it.

First I'd like to thank you for a constructive response. I do think, and as I stated up a couple comments, you really nail my issues here:
Well pvp is more competitive and if an ability is out of wack it effects all players on the battlefield. If an ability is out of wack for pve, its only going to *** off the npc's and I never see them post on the forums, lol.
However, this statement is a little short sighted. An ability out of whack for PvP doesn't just affect PvPr's it has implications for PvE as well. It's going to *** off PvEr's too, not just npcs as you've stated.

Both parties have been asking for changes and deserve them, but @ZOS needs to be aware of how these changes affect each other playability and be careful not to squash one or another because one side yells the loudest.
Plus pvpers imo are feeling like second class citizens to you pve'ers who get new content every patch.
I agree. I'd like to see some new PvP content as well so we're in the same boat. However I have other options as you've pointed out (because of newish PvE content and Update 1.6).
You're living the good life sir, and I'm paying for your good time.
I wouldn't go as far to say that. You spend money to be here as do I. If you choose to not pay the sub, I will still be here paying for my own good time.
Living the "good life" is a whole other matter, but yes, Life's been good to me so far

    I only play PvE
I tried out PVP a few times, to much sneaking around for my taste but did enjoy joining in on a few large battles. I have had a lot more fun playing PVE but am now pretty tired of that......about to hang it up for a few months I think.....mostly just waiting these days (not sure what I'm waiting for though).

I would PVP more if I wasn't killed in three hits by players that are invisible to me until they teabag my corpse.

What are you talking about, just because someone dislike pvp in ESO does not mean they are bad or dunno what they are doing.

I hate pvp in World of warcraft. I love pvp in guildwars2 and eso. Different opinions has nothing to do with skill.

I've done both, since early Beta's and this is my .02 cents and I'm not doing a TL/DR version.

I'm not sure why there is such segregation between PvP and PvE, the designers put in both elements for it's clientele to enjoy, why does there have to be such a division? And the division happens without you noticing let me add.

I've got VR14 toons and played a lot of PvP but I still spend time questing and leveling up other characters. I'm doing another run through with a sorc at the moment, and I gotta say I'd forgotten how much fun it is to do some of the quests (not the crappy ones where you have to find a person and give him a message etc...)

On the flip side, logging into PvP everyday, reading comments in zone chat, using TS you soon get acclimatized to PvP being superior to PvE, at least that's the feeling I get from the thoughts and feelings others convey. You know the comments I mean, "Oh, he only PvE's so he is a crap player"

    What the ^ ...

Just last night I meet a level 43 sorc in Repers who asked me about what those symbols mean above my name, I said "what, the PvP rank?" he replied yes, and what's a PvP rank. Hadn't had anyone comment on those for...well.... I can't remember the last time someone asked that question. 6 mths probably more maybe? He then went on to ask me about Cyrodiil as he hasn't been there yet.

I'd like to think that this guy (nice guy btw way) has a good first experience to PvP and someone doesn't yell at him being a noob for wearing heavy armour, or he needs impen, or... you know the rest. Not saying he doesn't need those thing, he does. But coming from beta my experience was different. No one at Beta was VR14, knew about impen and was stacked so high with stamina and weapon damage that they were one shotting you with snipe. Well, there were a few maxxed level VR10's kicking around within a few weeks but you get the idea.

For what's it's worth I did extend an invitation to PvP with this guy so he can learn the ropes. Not that I'm a legend at PvP, but I've done my time there and go alright.

Thing is, there are still people out there that haven't PvP'd before and I think unlike PvE the only real difference is you probably need more of a guide for PvP than you do playing the game in 'normal' mode as it were. PvE carries on normally, there is a direction you move in, a flow. PvP there isn't and there are so many things that you may or may know.

Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...
