Critical slash is nice for ultimate gain.
Invasion is I personally feel the best gap closer in the game
Reverberating Bash is nice for heal debuff.
In my limited PvP experience I find S-S users are using it for the gap closer, blocking efficiency and for maybe reverberating bash if you have the stamina for it.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

2H's Stampede was nearly as good with the immobile debuff...
...but that got nerfed.

I used to play 2H but decided to ditch it and play sword&board until 2H caught up with DW...

It's a snare now, but the snare is good cause people can't break out of it with a single dodge roll. But it does destroy some potential synergies with the DK Flame Whip.
