Halls of Torment Lyris Boss

This boss annoys me. Ever since they made the solo dungeons scale with you, I have not wanted to log in. You cannot out level her :(

I beat the last naga boss by out levelling her and coming in and one shotting her.

How do you beat Lyris now? Lyris the companion is a joke. and as a Templar I feel weak. Even with staff or shield. Mind you I haven't used staff enough to have any good skills in it (destro staff that is)

Ideas? I am more glass cannon then not. Level 30 with sword/shield and staff.

Here's a thread that talks about "Lyris's Clone" and Harvester's in general:
    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/comment/1422234/#Comment_1422234

You can attempt to out DPS their healing which is what I've done before. You can focus on using AoE's, and/or Stuns. Destroying the orbs heals you and it's worth the time to try and destroy them before the harvester's heal themselves.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Harvesters are easy. They can be stunned with a bash when they go to cast the orbs, and even if you don't bash it in time, the orbs can be destroyed before they reach the harvester and it heals you when you destroy them.

I remember having trouble with the Lyris Doppelganger back then with my first character, so I went back, outlevelled her, came back and killed her.

With my other characters I didn't have that problem anymore (since my class builds were much better this time and I knew a lot more about "how to eso"), but I also did it at levels a bit higher in the first place, if I remember correctly.

Later, when dungeons etc. were changed to scale with you, I was worrying that I would mess it up again, but I didn't. That was a relief.

Your options now are the following: although dungeons/bosses scale with you, you still can go back, level up several times to increase your attributes and get more skillpoints, and most importantly: improve your skills. A destro staff with all skills available and all passives unlocked can deal a LOT of damage. So even when the Harvester is still your level (which will always be the case now), you have much better chances to beat her.

As a matter of fact, I have to catch up 3 parts of the mainquest today, starting with the Doppelganger. I'll go in with a full skill level 50 destro staff with all passives and all needed skills with their morphs unlocked. Wish me luck^^
Oh, and good luck to you, of course :)

I agree, they are easy. But only when they are in the middle of a large room or outside without having walls on 3 sides.
F.e. in Coldharbour are some which are standing infront of doors and a wall, so 2 of the 4 healing bubbles are absorbed right away, unfortunately. These are a bit harder to kill. But it's still doable, just concentrate on the other 2 and dodge the stunning AOE in time.

Hmmm I fought her at v3 (had a corrupt character and was given a new one I had to level from v1) *after the patch* and spanked her like a naughty child on my NB.

As a templar, resto staff her, shard or javelin the balls, BoL yourself. Rinse repeat.

Oh and heal whoever you brought with you and they will keep fighting.

If you're a Templar then use a mixture of healing, Puncturing Sweep, Dark Flare and Heavy Resto Attacks (with Breath of Life perk). Watch them for their heavy attacks, they have two.

The first is a direct range attack which stuns but they have a tell movement (which I don't quite recall now, but I recognise when fighting) and it can be dodged/blocked.

The second is an area style attack where 4 "beams" sweep out in opposite directions, stunning you if you are in the way, which then creates the balls of healing. It is signalled by her sweeping her hand backwards behind her head. If you shift so that you are between their side and their front/back and about "5m" away they'll miss you. You can make use of the balls by breaking them and getting the healing for yourself. The balls are created when the beam hits a unmoving solid so try to keep them away from the walls. Don't allow them to absorb the balls of healing if possible.

It gets frustrating if they get you with the Area Attack and then hit you with the Direct Range Attack.

I fail to see how getting people acquainted with basic fight mechanics during solo missions is a bad thing. Would you rather have groups yelling at them because they haven't figured out to kill the feasts during harvester fights in Vet BC?

I've seen a lot of people talk about how hard this boss is, but I've been through that quest with 7 different characters, and I've only ever died to it once. It's no different from standard harvester tactics (which those of us who fought Doshia pre-nerf had to learn much earlier - I think my first character was level 7 or 8 when I had to learn to fight harvesters through a lot of trial, error, and getting killed). Keep doing single target damage to her, make sure you draw her into an area where the feasts won't spawn directly on top of her, and then when the feasts spawn take them out before they get to her (AoEs are good for this, or ranged attacks).

I stayed back at a distance and just shot at her with arrows. When the bubbles appear, I can aim and hit all of them from afar.

I am a L17 Templar and I am sweeping the floor with mobs. I have only developed the Staff for now. I think a Templar is one that benifits from a fully developed primary weapon before developing a secondary weapon.

I fought my first harvester last night and I have to say it was pretty easy. Use the Ultimate that sweeps your spear around (I forget what it is called) and you will kill all the orbs, heal your self, and really damage the harvester.

If your stick is not developed, then use the Charge skill in the Class to take out the orbs, you can time it so that you can hit all 4 of them, or at the very least 3 of them.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Hit Lyris with the fireball ability, keep moving, hit her with biting jabs a lot, use healing potions, and keep going.

I personally found The Tharn Doppleganger harder, and the Duchess at the end was fairly easy too, as long as you keep an eye on your health.
