Class-less characters are a different topic. I would have liked playing that, but they decided against it... redoing the -whole- game at this point is a bit of a meh option... (at least the veteran-to-champion is not changing basic structures, just adding to them)
And the voices mentioning that some kind of players would then only take "the best" skill lines and we would feel like we're surrounded by clones have a valid point. And as much fun as it may be to watch a hundred dragonknight-templars wail on each other in cyrodil until the damage shield breaks, then heal themselves right up again, I'd rather play a game with varied characters...

Spellcrafting, well, we'll have to wait what that can do to see.

I am all for new skill trees, either per class (as "class specialization"), or choosen from selection available for all (which would be a lot harder to balance I suppose)... it would be a great reward for completing cadwells silver and gold, each could get you one slot to fill with a skill line.

Of course, I am also for more added skill trees like the WW/vamp stuff, maybe tied to religious powers, but I posted that in another thread a while ago anyhow...

In the end, the more skills we have, the more we would play, since we'd want to try this or that on this alt, or that alt. Especially if we cannot just grab it all with one character.
