Server Maintenance?

I've been playing for about 3 weeks and this is the first server downtime I've seen. When did it start and how long should it be down?

    It started at 8AM EST, not sure when it will end, somewhat soon I would think, though.

    its every Monday at 7AM Central time zone. Length of maintenance can vary each time.

    They took a break from maintenance for a while for the holiday break.

    They are supposed to take it down every week, but this is the first time it has gone down at the scheduled time in a while.

    It's usually weekly or twice weekly, but with the holidays and some changes they were working on, it got pushed back.

    Server was down this past Wednesday for a quick server reset, but was only down for half an hour so I think some people didn't notice.

    Just a heads up that today's maintenance will likely go a little longer than usual. We still have a few backend items to go through, so it will be at least a couple more hours.

    Just tried playing Skyrim and found it extremely boring in the big world full of NPCs and no other real people.

    It's just like a consolation to help ease our boredom whilst the server gets a longer than usual regular maintenance.

    Its a patch alright. Just not 1.6. Its just a usual incremental patch. Like fixing typos and stuff ;)

    Just because it's not the patch everyone is waiting for doesn't mean it's not a patch at all, heh

    I've been playing ESO again after a break and I've been trying to get a lot of play time in this month. Apparently it has become my new gaming crack since I've been very tweaky about the game being down ALREADY. I logically understand the need for server maintenance. There is a part of me though that wants to huddle in the corner and cry until the game comes back up. Do you think I have a problem? :p

    I tried to log into Guild Wars 2 and play that but got hit automatically with "LORD I'm bored!"

    I did play it some days ago. For me its still the same timesink. I even tried to find places from ESO in Skyrims map... But the terrain has changed a lot it seems. :)

    till it changes just came back few days ago, used to be fridays/ thursdays/ sat

    sooo now its offically mondays huh? gonna hold ya too that for "scheduled maitenance"

    I dont understand why patch notes cant be release when you guys start these things. It reminds me of GTA5 forum, they make a patch and take hours to even post notes on whats going on. Stupid I think, but there may be a reason i dont know about.

    Remember that time they posted patch notes and 90% of the patches didn't actually take? The forums rioted. I imagine that's why.

    Why would they release notes for something that hasn't been fixed yet?
