If understand your comment correctly then you don't understand how the Champion System is going to work. Champion Points are ACCOUNT wide. Every single character on your account, now and in the future will have exactly the same number of points to spend however they like and be able to respec them individually.not really... you have a POOL of 70 to pull from.
as I understand it: If you have multiple VR ranks EACH VR rank will pull from this pool with a max of 70 CPs able to be earned. If you have a maxed out VR14 character you'll get all 70 with one character but you can have a few lower VR characters that will all pull from the pool synergistically.

A 69 is way better than 70...
So now I have to stop perfecting my new character creation (my strategy for the previous 30 CP plan), and tell my VR3 to put down the crafting and grind away this week, while I try to get my 49 up to VR2.
Right?

The day 1.6 launches if you have at least 1-VR14 then you get 70 CP (or any other combination that Jessica listed), for every single character. It's not 70 for only that VR14, it's 70 for your level 3 bank alt, 70 for your level 6 Clothing alt, 70 for your level 7 Blacksmithing alt, etc forever (with a cap of 8 characters at any given time). If you delete your level 3 bank alt and make a new one, the moment it's out of the character creation screen it has 70 points to spend. If you earn 1 more point in the first hour of 1.6, you now have 71 points to spend on every single character. This isn't rocket science folks, it's been explained hundreds of times by dozens of people in dozens of threads.

Except that would give you 64 points.

Why these steps ? You'll get 30 cp for each toon when they hit VR after the patch is through ?

Thus I will wait for the launch.
I appreciate (in both senses of the word) the comments, suggestions, and reminders to focus on what is fun and what I want to do in the game. I just figure that if I know I am going to be doing certain things over the next 3-6 months in the game, I should prioritize them and do anything first that would be advantageous to get done before 1.6. Or at least understand as well as possible what the impact is.
In that vein thanks for the breakdowns/suggestions regarding how one might optimize CP between now & them.

I just wondering how long it will take someone to max out their CP points, cause you know there will be some who will do nothing but grind until they are maxed.
Or just hire a team overseas for a very small hourly rate to grind for you.I just wondering how long it will take someone to max out their CP points, cause you know there will be some who will do nothing but grind until they are maxed.
If they have efficiently reduced their 1mil exp grind to 20 minutes and play 18 hours a day... It would take 67 days of mountain dew, hot pockets and diapers.
At about $5 per12 pack of dew (12 pack consumed daily), $15 for a 15 pack of hot pockets (consuming 3 a day) and about $12 for a pack of 16 MMO aides (conserving at one daiper every other day) you'd be expected to pay about $335 on dew, $60 on hot pockets and $24 on daipers as well as about 2 months worth of ESO subscription.
A total of $449 will get you to 3600 CP in just over 2 months. (You may include lack of a social life an added cost, depending on the value placed by you.)
That doesn't include lack of income, but since it is too variable, I'll let you calculate that. Few people consider the extra costs. You're welcome.
Correct, for the purpose of ONLY the switch to 1.6 going live the system does take into account each Vet character's xp in 200K xp chunks to a total cap of 70 CP per account.Oh I understand that all the characters get the same CP... but as I understand it each of your characters will be awarded CP for their current VR level and XP at the time of the switch. So if you have multiple VR characters you will earn CP for EACH independently. This is JUST for characters that were created before the 1.6 update.
So now I have to stop perfecting my new character creation (my strategy for the previous 30 CP plan), and tell my VR3 to put down the crafting and grind away this week, while I try to get my 49 up to VR2.
