I see a carrot and I can pick it up. I also see a banana but I can't grab it. Why?

Zenimax, you guys are breaking my immersion and also leaving out my favorite fruit.

If I go to an inn and see a collection of fruits and vegetables set out across different tables, I can freely walk by and pick up different provisioning items and foods until my heart's content. However, as far as I can tell, NONE of the banana models in the game actually let you pick up a banana as an inventory item.

Why? What madness is this? Bananas are my favorite fruit! How could you do this!?

ZOS lied to you by placing the banana there. You were promised the banana, I don't know how you can trust them anymore. ZOS please confirm whether or not you intend to screw over your playerbase by denying the bananas we deserve.

Banana is the forbidden fruit. You really thought Eve picked an apple! Think about it, there are tons of types of apples, but only one banana, so if there was just one forbidden fruit tree, it would of been the banana, besides, what else would 'given' them known of....nevermind.
Once they add the justice system, you will then be able to pick up a banana, but then you will get killed for breaking the law

In one of the ESO Live discussions they actually spoke about this very thing. Among the changes to Provisioning one will be making it more logical in the way we gather ingredients; along the lines of what you see is what you get. So fingers crossed that includes your beloved banana

Bananas are, in fact, one of the ingredients coming in with the Provisioning Revamp. You'll be able to walk up to a table with bananas, pick up a bunch of them, and use them to make delicious banana-based food. This includes one of my own favorites, Mistral Banana Bread.

The same problem is with cats and dogs. I can kill pigs, sheep and chickens. But why can't i kill my favorite animal (cat) and dog. Are they going to be in provisioning too?
