Sever All Ties Quest

I am trying to enter the Oblivion portals but there is no option presented for me to do so. I've tried logging out and back in and still have no option to enter them. Does anyone know a fix or am I doing something wrong; because I see other people entering the portals.

Instead of logging in and out you could try typing into chat

/reloadui

Reloads everything in your area. Perfect for hidden quest markers and other small bugs. Sometimes logging is the only way though.

bugged for me as well. Am I supposed to "use" the portals or just walk through them?

edit: logging out and back in solved it. You can use the portal (press E)

Hey so I was having this problem and I thought it was a good idea to abandon the quest and then pick it up again, the only problem is the guy won't give it to me again... what do I do?

An answer with a FIX! (yay for fixes!)

I had a the same problem. I was just on my way through the third portal, after already going through two of them to destroy the final sigil stone and close the last gate to oblivion. I got to the third gate and while the others on approach gave you the big E to click on to enter, this one did not.

I hadn't bumped into any broken quests until I hit that one, but as it's turns out, the /reloadui function fixed the issue, so not really a broken quest at all. Not sure why it loaded two of the gates and not the third, I mean I could see it, just couldn't go through into Oblivion, but I got there in the end.

At the same time I was stuck at that gate not being able to progress, another player was also unable to get through, we spoke about it a little through chat, and he/she sent me a message a few minutes later saying they got through after they logged out and logged back in.

So, you probably have two fixes for that one.

I just ran into the same problem. I tried all three portals and "/reloadui" on all three without success. I logged out and back in and bingo, it worked.

Yes you're meant to use the portals. Logging in and out does fix it but unfortunately not all the time. Another option is to go do something else and return to it. This also works.

Does anyone know if It is possible to regain the quest??? I literally couldn't finish it due to only getting 2/3 portals to register.....even though I destroyed all 3 stones.

Original post was on April 2nd, and now i post on April 20th. STILL NO FIX! I did a full shut down and restart then tried /reloadui 6 times and finally another full shut down and restart and that finally worked.
Not happy.

This is EXACTLY my problem and it's been for a long time now.

***, who and how are they managing the bug reports. You'd think after you know, a couple of WEEKS, a progression breaking quest prevent people from going in the VR5+ area would be somewhat of a priority...

Well, it's september now, and this quest still isn't fixed... it's really a bummer too, because I can't progress through cadwell's almanac at all because of this. I've reloaded UI, I've relogged multiple times, and nothing. The portals aren't even visible to me at all. I went through the first one, and now the quest marker is just telling me to go through the same door over and over again. There are no other oblivion gates to go through...

I had The Same issue As You - Closed The First Portal Near Razz And
After That The Map Marker Was On A Door No matter Which Side Of It I Was On!
With Some Exploring Though I Found 2 Other Portals And realized
They ARE NOT MARKED ON MY MAP
I Had To Locate Them With NO Map Marker Assistance!
Once Located I Went Through Them And Closed Them
Then The Quest Completed Afterwards With The Queen And Razz -
I wont Give Anymore Details Though To Minimize Spoilers... SOOO...
DONT GIVE UP So easily Just Hunt Around Town In A Methodical Way And You Will Find The Other 2 Portals.

I experienced a bug here where, on the middle portal when I went in as a skeleton costume it would let me through the last portal without lighting the braziers which wouldn't let me trigger the destroy orb it would just portal me out without completing the quest. Unequiping the skeleton costume let me finish the quest.
