Why dont more people use Evil Hunter in PVP?

I often wonder this. It seems like over half of Thornblades pop are vamps. So why don't more players slot Evil Hunter?

Evil Hunter-

-Does insane damage to vamps and werewolfs(with the passive)

-Highlights all vamps so you can see they are vamps from a distance and stick out like a sore thumb.

-ANY weapon based attack light/heavy or weapon based skill, Crushing Shock, Venom Arrow, Critical Charge, any weapon ability pretty much can proc it for lots of damage.

- everytime it procs it restores lots of stamina and killing a vamp with it extends its duration.

If you could get 10-15 people running it in a keep defense, especially archers at range piping the breech with Arrow Barrage/ Scorched Earth with Evil Hunter active could probably wipe a whole group at the breech considering Evil Hunter procs very frequently and often 2 shots vamps on a regular basis.

Want to be really mean to vamps? Put a disease enchant on your weapon, its a healing debuff when it procs mych luke Dark Flare, Lethal Arrow, and Meatbag Catapults...works as a nice counter to Green Dragon blood/ devouring swarm.

I don't know what game you are playing, but there are *lots* of people running evil hunter.

I use the camo morph. Not sure if it really does more damage in pvp, but yes, the vampires do light up at least. And I always run disease.

ahh guessing u arnt a vamp? when ever i play my vamp dk i get evil hunt in my death recap nearly everytime i am ganked on my horse ^_^

tho dying in a battle not being ganked i rarely see it

LOL; I have recently been making my 2nd bar a ranged bar and particular to take care of vampires from range. I didn't even think about this. ESO head doesn't mention highlighting them.

From what I hear, ESO head stopped being updated a couple updates ago. The highlight feature is a newer change to evil hunter.

Oh trust me you will know they glow sorta a yellow whitish with an aura around them, can't miss it

You have to be on the weapon bar Evil Hunter is on, but you don't have to activate the skill in order for the vamps to glow/ stand out.

Camo hunter which also highlights them (not sure if intended but i will take it) and snipe is pretty fun when i dust off the bow on my templar.

One of the first skill lines I leveled with bow . Most of the DC story arc is fighting the undead . Helps to level fast .

The highlight is intended and was mentioned in patch notes a long time ago.

I thought highlight was only meant to be evil hunter and not camo, either way it works for both.

I also probably shouldn't be giving away this little tidbit, but it procs on 2 attacks occasionally if you get them away quick enough and also on every ultimate tick e.g. bats. Cast camo hunter and then bats on vampires and they get hit at least 3-4 times with it during the bat swarm.

So a vampire with evil hunter bats ? I can't even begin to point the finger of hypocrisy ....

I sometimes slot it, but as the OP said, half the cyrodiil pop is vampires, which means 50% of the time i fight someone, i have 20% of my quickbar taken by an ability that does nothing.

Some specs can get by losing a quickbar slot - some, not so much.

It is similar to sparks: absolutely fantastic against a DK who likes to spam flame whip and little else, but dead weight against a sorc.

I just read in another thread, that when Silver Bolts is reflected by Reflective Scales the damage increase from targeting a vampire is reflected, too. Does this happen with Evil Hunter, too? Would this be a reason to only slot but rarely use Evil Hunter?

Very nice. I only wish I had igneous weapons for that extra damage.

I would recommend poison injection instead of venom arrow. That DoT is great for blinking sorcs and lulz for standing there watching them die almost out of draw distance.

I did that and based my comment on first two videos I've seen. One is insta-kill here and other whip, whip, whip so not really appealing to check others for a game with epic battles. I understand some people prefer such playstyle but I just don't get wheres the thrill in it, unless it's AC, Hitman or similar single player games.

Funny thing, Logging out did not remove it..I actually had to get a GM to fix it personally.

Off topic, the ghostbuster video cracked me up.

On topic, yeah, Evil hunter is ridiculously powerful, and almost a guaranteed win against Vampires. Though today I've not seen it used once in the two hours of PVP I've visited.

Between the fire damage taken increase, the passive damage added from Fightersguild passives, and the vulnerability to abilities like Silver shards and Evil hunter I am very surprised there are still so many Vampires around.

2. Mist
3. Stam regen
