Innocent Loyal Players are getting BANNED! VERY DISTURBING PROBLEM IN ESO!

As much as I love this game that I play everyday and depend it against some trolls on facebook page and in this forum, there is a very disturbing problem here in ESO.

My friends in-game, were so loyal to ESO like me, was suddenly offline for days. I thought they quit, then I leave it like that. But time and time again, loyal players that I knew were getting offline for days. Some chat with common friends and I discovered players were banned. Those famous crafters, pvers, pvpers before that you can always see chatting in zone chat disappeared. Its easy to say they quit, but some was banned.

For a loyal, innocent players that paid money for months, and exerted so much time and effort for the achievements of characters was wasted. They said they was banned WITH NO EXPLANATION AT ALL.

Hey Zenimax, please do it right, you are hurting people here, dont just treat us as players please. We have the right to be treated nicely coz we are paying for this game, we are working hard to level up each character and this BAN WITHOUT DOING WRONG is VERY UNFAIR to the whole community.

Banning a player requires very careful reviews, communicating with the player for explanation. I feel so sorry for those loyal and straight players who was banned.

Some of the reasons they think why was when they mailed gold to guildmates. Mailing gold to their other accounts. Mailing gold to avoid COD fees. Is it not allowed to give gold to your friends in game? It shouldnt be. Oh my, you need to think of how the people will feel when you ban their accounts that they loved so much.

I love this game, I love my account, I love my characters. I treasure them, they are whats inside my head and they consume most of my free time. Im pretty sure this is same feeling of every ESO player, so please dont just ban and ban and ban people with no reason at all.

PLEASE!

Maybe just banned by auto-mat? Your friend just should mail ESO - if he got ban by human hand there must be a reason. I was knew a lot "fair" players in other MMO that i never would suspect for cheating.

I had a couple of friends that this happened to, one was able to get it lifted the other not so lucky. Just because they have massive amounts of gold and for whatever reason decided to be charitable, that transaction was somehow decided to be a violation of the TOS.

The system in place that monitors this sort of thing needs some serious reworking, because after my friend was banned he had contacted support 3 times and receiving the same cookie cutter 'you violated the TOS' response, he finally got in contact with someone that said he was accused of selling gold. This person is a gold hoarder and had never done such a thing.

I get what they are trying to do, but ZOS is def pulling the trigger on this situation a little to fast, banning plenty of innocent players as well as guilty ones. The only problem is, it's hard for the innocent ones to put up a fight, and there is no compensation for their troubles. If it had happened to me I would just quit the game all together.

im not talking for just the case of my friend in-game, im talking for the sake of all players. we, in some point of time are in risk of getting banned with no reason. we shouldnt be playing with a fear of getting banned if we are not doing anything wrong. but it's happening to some players, so this might happen to any of us. wasted time and effort and characters due to permanent ban is so frustrating to anyone.

Any and all players can appeal the ban. They should be able to get a hold of someone and have it actually looked into. I know some other games who had the same problem of banning innocent players and never actually got the bot problem under control. But usually if they actually look into the account they can usually unban them. Hard to say though :( also moderation is not permitted to be discussed on the forums.

Ok, I don't doubt players have been banned from this game, people are banned from games all the time, but I don't see any names here, nor have I seen banned players complaining either here on ESO's Forum or on Reddit. Until we see a post written in the first person with pictures of the Emails communicating a ban order, etc, I don't think anyone can really say much.

Zenimax should not just ban suspected accounts and expect that innocent players will contact them to justify their innocence. Like the rule of law in real life, a suspect should be proven guilty before putting him in jail. This thing was like, put him on jail first then wait for him to prove his innoncence. Such a lame reasoning ZOS!

Well, that is a post from 8 months ago. The game had only been out for about a month and the ban systems were still being tested and tuned. Not to mention those cases were resolved within an acceptable time frame.

Is there anything more recent? If people were being banned without a reason, don't you think we'd see it on Reddit? The page would be bursting with complains, god knows LoL's page has several of those.

Innocent is a matter of opinion. Some people believe talking trash or hazing is just innocent banter, but when it goes on to long it turns into harassment. Also, a lot of people who say they got suspended or banned for doing nothing, turns out to be the opposite, they were cheating and hacking the entire time.

So the TOS pretty much lets ZOS ban an account for any reason....although I know alot of the times it was just out of precaution and the ban was shortly lifted.

Depends on how widespread it is. if we have 700k players and 10 of them get accidentally banned its a small problem. If we have 700k players and 500k of them get banned its a big problem. Not everyone uses Reddit or forums so it's really hard to say. I'm going to say it happens but its not super widespread.

Automated systems do that constantly and on all games, we don't hear as much about it because most times those caught by the ban bots are actually guilty of some infraction.

I my self was once caught by one WoW's bots and had my account suspended. My account was returned to normal within a few hours of my appeal, it maybe a little inconvenient, but there is a reason more and more games adopt these aggressive policing systems. On my case I had acquired a In Game Pet from another player and apparently the pet had been bought with a stolen credit card; security systems are in place to protect us.

Appeals are in place for the cases in which the machine made a mistake. If you are innocent, appeal the decision and your account shall be restore to normal.

Again I'm not really sure. I know FF14 had the same problem. During launch you couldn't even be in the vicinity of a bot train but good bloody god there was so freaking many. Even worse than ESO on launch. I knew a few real life people who where on the way to a quest, a bot train ran by and he got banned with them.

But anyway they can still appeal it straight to ZOS without making a stink on the reddit. But again depends on the person.

Yup, as I said, the ban bots making mistakes is not a problem restricted to ESO. It happens on every game, specially upon implementation when the bots are still being fine tuned. We've seen the appeals are effective when handling such problems though. ^^

I was banned from ESO once, error on their part. Took me a phone call and about 30 minutes to correct the problem. They apologized I told them No problem. We hung up, I logged in and have been playing ESO everyday basically for the last 6 months since.

IF they aren't guilty of a ban offense then the ban would be immediately removed. No real harm...

Also for the record...nothing really anyone on this forum could do to help anyways.

EDIT part--there are a few better ways to get a response from ZOS other than this forum. I would try customer service.

I know my old account was ban because a hole bunch of people cyber bullied me and I argued back with me . but because they reported me I didn't report them because I couldn't keep up with there comments.cyber bullying has gotten way out of hand in eso. lost everything never got my old account back.same thing happen today they said they were reporting me but this time I learn my lesson didn't cuss no one out.just told them there stupid for making fun of me when I didn't do nothing to them. I asked a question in chat do you think ww ult still cost to much.a player made fun of me because I like delita gaming and . I told him to quit running his mouth he's being stupid.a whole bunch of people start cyber bullying calling me the p word making mom jokes .making fun of me because I suck at pvp. I reported them all this time. but I bet ill be the only one to get ban.zos don't know but some people go on there to start something with one person gang up on one person then they all abuse that report button.there on there just to make zos lose money.and cyber bullying is illegal if you look up online. people have gotten arrested for it.so don't know why there not monitoring and watching out for it so much. it seems zos only bans who was reported the most.

A reason should always be given for a banning and a chance for the player to explain their side should always be given. Anything less than that means that any one of us could be perma banned at any time for any or no reason at all. Why invest any time or money into a game where that is a very real possibility?

I would have to say that I see no proof or reason to believe that players are being banned when they are innocent. I'm going to hang up my pitch fork and put my door ram back until I see any reason to believe that many innocent players are being perma banned.

To be honest, I see many more in bots in game than I hear of people getting banned.
