Just a video i put together. I know its not all 1vX because DC likes to help you but its what i got over the last couple days. Feedback on the video/playstyle is much appreciated and encouraged. Thank you for watching.

I use a bow gank build on my VR14, but she also carries two DW axes, and with the set up I have, there are very few players I cannot take on in up close combat.

Im allowed to generalize but most players who gank with bow have no idea how to fight once they dont kill the person right away.

You mean it looks like the build Sypher uses, which is a build by someone else, which in turn is the most common Nightblade build out there since quite a while.

This setup is basically the equivalent of all the DK 1vX videos out there.

These videos are getting old, maybe someone should throw a rick roll or better yet the end to Sleepaway Camp in their just to keep us on our toes.

Well it's not 'Syphers' - build, it is the standard NB melee build with a little change here and there. On the EU megaserver nearly every second melee NB run something like that, even before videos about this were released.
If I look at this build it reminds me on my old one btw.
Whitestrake set is actually nice, as NB I used it a long time.
Powerbash combined with NB ultimate works fine, but not rly good on DKs.
I tried that skill but dropped it for Reflect or Deep slash, depending if I want to troll my enemys or not.

Just a few tips to the op:
- less Dodge rolls
- u need a siphon ability on both bars so fit in cripple or something in one bar and put the siphon ultimate in the other one
- u missed a few execute chances by wasting time with Ambush, that could cost your life in a fight, so look a little bit more on health bars

- use shadow image for the teleport, the dual shadows seems to be more helpful, but the Stamina drain is nearly the same. Teleport shadow is good against DKs and Templars and you can teleport out of the danger.. mostly.
- u use even more Ambush than I already do, don't waste your Magicka by that! :P
- don't block with your staff

Anyway it's nice to see more NB vids!

I actually swapped to magnus (to try out), that whitestrake video was like a week old. Been testing out what set i should run. Its a hard choice

What makes you feel debuff stack doesnt work on DKs that well?

the dodge roll comes from a habit i developed while being a ganker unfortunetly where dodge roll costs nothing

siphon ability - i tried to fit it in but that healing debuff combo to me is just amazing but i will try cripple again coz the immobilize is nice after a fear.

In 1v1, you notice the stamina drain alot on DKs who like to block. I duel sometimes so thats why its the duals

What would you like to see? Ganking people who dont have a chance to fight back? Zerging with 23 other people and then another raid group and rofl stomping everyone in the way? Duels?

If you've not tried it undaunted bastion on a nightblade is nice, with harness, it and healing ward I'm doing a massive 2k+ shield every 15 seconds or so.

Unfortunetly i cant, i need it to be a crafted set because i dont have warlock rings so i can only run 3 armour and sword and shield set.

Im not having attitude with you, since you are competent when the gank doesnt work, you have learned to play and thats how i want all players to play not just shoot lethals from 50m away and spam it..

Does it really matter what they gank with? I'd wager most AoE zergballs are just as clueless when they cant roll over someone.

Superior numbers always have the advantage, what makes PvP interesting (atleast for me), is overcoming those superior numbers, especially when they also have the element of "surprise" (which you can learn to counter as well).

That doesn't kill anyone anymore (unless you happen to get lucky and the target is a vampire).

Still awaiting "bow ganker" 1vX/1v1 videos (since they're so "OP" and unfair)

Some things are getting gold for sure. I have no urge to click any posted link that involves:

1. Impulse + Walls
2. Bats
3. Another DK 1vX video

4. NB's ganking mounted players with Snipe
5. Blobbing the farm house

But videos of templars or NB's PvP'ing, utilizing different skills and builds, I still enjoy. It's inspiring. I like this video to. It cant be getting old really, since it's sort of a rare breed in the sea of 10.000 video's of bat-swarming DK's. Think I only seen something like 3-4 NB video's ever that's not pure gank stereotype, or running around in a blob.

Its primarily directed at those gank NBs that legit wont touch you unless they have another 6 with them. Or having 2/3 pounding on you. Prime example was that first clip. The ganker legit didnt touch me until the other NB attacked and then the lethal spam came. Its really just playing on easy mode and there is no skill involved. If you know your a good player and can deal with people when you dont get your snipe off and can deal with 1v1, 1v2 then there really isnt any reason to get upset, its not directed at you.

Im going to edit that out of my original post. Yes i said it but now its just getting in the way of the video.

at 3:03. I hadn't played in three and a half weeks and forgot to not use block against shades lol. I think I killed your alliance member right before your clip started and was out of resources.

I tried my NB for like an hour before this clip was taken, but decided to try just playing my DK this campaign season because of all the snipers. Do you have trouble with snipers ganking you while fighting? The debuff seems to work on Healing Ward too, I think.

Yes, i hate anyone with a bow really lol. It does work on healing ward. I really just use cloak to get away from snipe spam but with cloak being very buggy its hard to sometimes not die from it unfortunetly especially in 1vX.

People just often use the "gank" term, even if it was only one person playing in a certain way :P

I do agree that these FOTM "archer trains" are staining the reputation of a build that atleast used to be challenging & fun to play, capable of 1v1 & 1vX (in its own way).

I do hope 1.6 makes some other types of builds popular as well (I'm not too optimistic though)

Not true. I know somebody that kills people while alone with just bow attacks. Not sure if he's collecting clips for a video though.

@OP, pretty entertaining video. I liked that the clips included some deaths.

imo, 1.6 is gonna make heavy armour more viable but LA will still be everywhere. Really hope 1.6 is so different but thats hard to expect.

Most DKs i know using igneous shield for extra Healing and you reduce the healing by 90%.
Anyway a DK will get out of execute range by a single Dragonblood even with these debuffs.
Sorcs and NB using healing ward mostly, but the debuff don´t reduce the shield.
Well on Templar it works, but do you rly need it?
If you want it, go for it, but i think there´re better abilitys.

Shadow Image will continue to drain your enemys stamina, its nearly the same as the dual shadows, not much difference.
(the Dmg debuff doesn´t stack)

Sets.. well i switching a lot too, but i go for Seducer / Arch-Mage after using Warlock / Whitestrake a long time.

One constructive point:
You should use Surprise Attack more for CC as well (when opponent isn't expecting it), especially as magicka NB. It's cheaper than Mass Hysteria & deals some damage as well.

E.g. 0:36 & 0:52 on the video

Certainly there are good bow builds, but I'm quite certain they don't revolve around around stealth attacks (and especially Snipe)

There is a Bow+2H build for Templars that is really strong, and I'm certain Bow/Bow builds could work as well (Scorched Earth/Acid Spray to get past scales), but none of these are "gank" stealth builds.

Stealth (solo) gameplay was more or less killed in 1.5.

What happens to Snipe spammers is pretty much the same as what happens to the sorc in this video (5:12).

Well, I believe what I see, and post 1.5 I haven't yet seen a solo stealth build capable of 1vX/1v1 (against decent players)

Hey Vir Cor, or anyone that knows. I had a question about shields. When I die in the video, it looks like a had like a 2.4k shield or so and then I just dropped dead. That happened to me a couple times yesterday and I don't remember that happening before, like a month ago when I stopped playing. Is this a bug? Or am I dumb and NB execute goes through shields? Or lag? I can't figure it out lol.

Cool video . I like the UI setup .

The only suggestion I have is when you go over 4 minutes in a game video , unless you're doing something new , the audience starts to loose interest . Other then that it's good .

I don't care if it's something people have seen before because I know the person making the video took time to try to entertain people by giving a glimpse of game play through their perspective . It takes a lot of time with graphic intensive games . So thanks for sharing .
