Heavy attacks no longer bashable ??

Hi, after coming back, stopped playing right after 1.5, i noticed that heavy attacks can no longer be bashed, is this intentional or a bug? caus i can't find anything in the patchnotes about it.

If it does appear to be intentional i ask why and for it to be returned to how it was before, becaus right now people can just wait untill they are immune to cc and to all the regen they want with heavy attacks and you can't interrupt them, makes fights last way too long and sometimes pointless, in smaller scale situations, as people can just regen consistently this way.

maybe someone from ZOS can reply on this? @ZOS_KaiSchober‌ or @ZOS_GinaBruno‌ ?

any kind of reply or if someone knows something would be nice

Heavy attacks could never be interrupted with a bash, only spells are susceptible to bash. To stop a heavy attack, you need to block it.

Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer

    Restoration heavy attack was bashable/interruptible.

This is what I miss. Being able to stop someone from regenerating their magicka. Now that all heavy attacks give regeneration, I should be able to bash all heavy attacks to keep my opponent from getting his/her resources back.

This would add another layer to the combat system in ESO, which I would really like to see. It would force players to be more strategic when attempting to regenerate their magicka/stamina, and it would allow players to prevent their opponents from spamming skills and then freely regenerating (after applying CC immunity) for another round of skill spamming.

Whether this mechanic change was intentional or non-intentional, I'd like to ask the developers to apply heavy attack bash interruption to all weapon types.

Heavy attacks are already susceptible to blocking, why should they be defeated by another mechanic?

What really needs a counter is blocking. Personally I've always thought that charge attacks should knock down someone who is blocking, instead of the blocker being some kind of immovable object.

Yes you can block heavy attacks and you won't get hit for as much damage. But your opponent will still regenerate stamina or magicka. The regeneration is the key.

In PvP, I should be able to stop my opponent from regenerating like I could before, with bash.

Blocking a heavy attack doesn't just reduce damage, it dazes the target and makes them vulnerable to a knockdown. That's penalty enough, imo.
Meanwhile we still have block turtles that have no counter. The current system is set up like rock paper scissors, but rock doesn't get taken out by anything.

There is no such penalty for resto heavy attack being blocked. It's ranged, thus no daze, no knockdown vulnerability. The reduction to damage is trivial - you generally do resto heavy attack to gain a large amount of magicka, not to do damage (unless there are special circumstances, like attacking a flappy DK and you have no other options).

We aren't talking about PvE. We don't care about heavy attacks in PvE because mobs don't have to manage resources like players do, so this whole conversation makes no sense if you look at it from a PvE perspective.

    We're talkign about PvP.
