Real money or in-game money? Anyway, I doubt that you(or any other gold seller) will have profit from selling gold in eso.

A quick google revealed many sites claiming to sell eso gold - and they must be getting that gold from somewhere...

More pathetic behavior from the so called "PC master race". Designing scripts to play for you so you can pretend to be good at the game. For what? Anyone why uses a preset combination of buttons to play the game at super human efficiency is a cheater.
    Never used a Game Genie?
    You can:
    1. Be the best in game.
    2. Pretend that you're the best.
    3. Enjoy time you spend in game.

What the point of using bots?
Probably a combination of those very three things you mentioned.

When I was a teenager, I used a gameshark for single player games. Not really the same thing, and I eventually grew out of the desire for easy mode. Playing online against real people, what's the point in pretending to be better than you really are? As for the gold farming, that's just a scam.

Meh, ESO players fail at pricing stuff so hard, that I am almost okay with a bot player selling stuff cheap. Most of the guild stores have stuff listed at prices that nobody is going to play. I saw 10k Kutas the other day on a pretty reputable guild store.

That's not the same as having perfect precision and timing with one keystroke. Big difference between saving time, and cheating. I use several add ons that are like guides, but they do not give me an instant advantage over anyone else.

Hi there, folks! We will be sinking this thread, as while it has not yet delved into naming and shaming (for which we thank you), it is dangerously close.

If you encounter someone in game who you believe is violating the Terms of Service, please report them using /help. Our dedicated team will investigate and take any actions, if appropriate. Please do not post about it on the forums, as all reports of in-game behavior must be reported in game. Thank you for being vigilant in helping to keep the ESO community a safe place for all!

How about instead of "sinking" these threads you start banning the people who are are purposely trolling in every thread. You let these same people time and time again poke people to the point that these threads turn into name shaming. STOP THEM BEFORE THIS HAPPENS! Its ridiculous we have to keep putting up with these people cause you wont take action against them. The report buttons arnt doing anything if all you do is delete their post and continue to let them to hang around here and still post.

Are you sure it's always bots running around from node to node harvesting things? Because, I'm one of these players who are real and go for a walk (or speedrun, in my case) with one of my characters pretty much everyday during the last 2 weeks or so, just to gather some materials for potions or for refining to get some tannins etc. out of them.

I'm doing this with my Vet NB, she's wearing the Night's Silence set plus having the 25% speed bonus from a skill (Concealed Weapons, I think it is), so I'm pretty fast. And I know my route.
Besides of harvesting things, it's also very relaxing, and I enjoy the sun and the sand in the desert (while here in RL it's snowing) :)

I've noticed several times that other players were checking on me if I'm a bot by moving around me for a while in an odd way to get my attention, but I'm definitely not a bot. They could just have asked me, but they didn't. I guess as soon as I have to fight Assassin Beetles or Thunderbugs, they should know I'm real.

I don't use any macros (I wouldn't even know how this works and I don't want to know anyways), but I'm kinda worried to get banned even though I'm real, is this possible? I mean, I do sell a lot of potions in a store, but I always harvest the ingredients an mix the potions myself.

There's a difference between running / jumping between nodes and a bots set waypoints movements. I can easly spot a bot after watching it for a few minutes. Its very robotic unlike a humans control of the character.

Not sure why @lordrichter‌ was so determined to defend people selling a crap ton of mats in guild stores......just saying.

Mostly because collecting and selling materials, even stacks of them, does not require being a bot and there is nothing wrong about it. This is nothing more than a witch hunt to try and brand someone who is doing nothing wrong.

Through just idle collection, I can usually complete a stack of something every day. This is just picking stuff up as I run by. Ore, insects, wood, raw stuff, etc. The stuff I collect gets put into the bank. When I get to a stack of the stuff, I can no longer store it in the bank, so I sell off 100 of them and put the remainder back into the bank for next time. I actually keep my bank full just so that it is easier to tell when I hit a full stack.

Now, if I can complete the collection of 100 of something every day while doing something entirely different, imagine how much I could collect every day if that was all I did when I played. This is why I don't feel that botting software is necessary. I have no doubt that there are people using them, but I am sure it can be done without it.

So, it is actually required to observe the collector, not the sales, in order to determine who is using botting software and who is not.
