Being someone who actively uses heavy armor in PvP I can honestly say any buff is welcome...but seriously.... are you guys telling me in order to get use out of my heavy armor I'm going to have to purposely get knocked down? Because if that is what everyone is saying then this is the stupidest buff anyone can ever ask for...
I'm just wondering if anyone can clear things up for me or explain how this could be useful in any way..

How are you PVPing if you don't use break free almost constantly?
There are so many CCs in this game. Here's a list of things you break free from in PVP, not intended to be exhaustive)
Stun (invasion, reverberating bash, any initiation from stealth, spear shards)
Knockdown/Knock Up (crystal fragments, volcanic rune, wrecking blow)
Disorient (a variety of bow and sorc abilities)
Fear (mostly nightblade fear)
Negate (one of the most popular abilities in the game: break free allows you to cast while in the negate)
What kind of PVP do you do that you don't encounter these abilities constantly?

You don't get knocked down when you're in seven pieces of heavy sporting a sword and shield, it just doesn't happen. The only time I would get knocked down is when I'm out of stamina in which case you're not breaking free anyway.

I love how you are being given something for free but its terrible and not good enough. Sigh.

Imo even now heavy is not so bad in pvp as people tend to believe, I've had good success with it. I think the resource gain via constitution was a good way to address the resource management issues, I just wish the gain would be slightly higher.
Teargrants wrote: »The problem is constitution resource return doesn't even come close to offsetting the increased cost of mag/stam compared to light/med armor. Combine that with how all i need is to hold block with sword & shield in any armor, and how not holding block is instant suicide in any armor, and you see why heavy armor just falls short atm.
I listed a bunch of high end heavy gear in a guild store for stupid cheap, because pvpers don't usually buy heavy and pve'ers don't care about impen. I was surprised when a few of them sold right away.....to @vortexman11

I've gotta add to my collection! I have like 3 toons full of random sets of heavy armor that I test out now and then.
Just in case: wtb Juggernaut Set, Beckoning Steel Set, & Armor Of Rage set.
