If some players leaving didn't matter and v14 didn't matter I wouldn't be healing pledges sometimes 3-5 times a day because *there are literally not enough good templars* online across 2 and even sometimes 3 guilds to cover the rest of the guild getting pledges done.
To say that some players leaving doesn't matter is hogwash.
If they are casual players then - no - it doesn't matter because they are casual and folks doing v14 pledges neither want nor need them and no one expects a casual player to dps, tank or heal on the level it takes to complete these and/or trials.
So if casual people leave it matters little. Also there are many more casual players than 'hard core' players.
Most of us in top tier guilds definitely notice it when one of ours leaves.
All the best to all this Holiday Season

I reached lvl VT14 a very long time ago and stopped XPing since then.
But I did a lot of dungeoning, raiding since then and learned many, many things playing with lots of different people.
DPS (or any other stat for that matter) depends as much on your skills and gear as on your ability to dodge, get out of red zones and react to the game's environment in an appropriate, quick and clever manner.
That's what I call real XP, it's much more important than numbers, that what makes the fun of the game for me and no change from ZOS can take that away from me. Or from any of us.
You know who else was lied to? Console gamers. I bought this game back when they promised a PS4 transfer after 6 months. You all might be missing some progress, while consoles are missing the entire game. Consider yourselves lucky. It's not the first time they lied and it won't be the last. Whatever happened to that brown Riften wolfhound anyways?
There are people that grinded 8 characters to VR 14.
If ZOS would award a point for each VR, that would equal to 112 points.
For a headstart that is just madness what a gap it would create. Nobody, and I really mean nobody should get a boost at launch of champion system.
However if ZOS plans to reward VR players when champion system phase 4 launches, at least cut the reward by half, 1 point for every 2 VRs.
Where does it say "I Promise" to anything? I keep seeing people say they were promised these points for playing the game.

Continue to play! We are tracking your XP as you advance your way through Veteran Ranks and even past VR14. When the Champion System comes out we will reward you points right away based on the amount of XP you have earned up to a cap.
I cannot believe I am even defending this. "Promise" notice the quotes. It is statement. Synonyms for promise:
agreement / assurance / commitment / guarantee / obligation / pact / pledge / vow / word / affiance / affirmation / asseveration / avowal / betrothal / bond / compact / consent / contract / covenant / earnest / engagement / espousal /
insurance / marriage / oath / parole / pawn / plight / profession / security / stipulation / swear / swearing / token / troth / undertaking / warrant / warranty
promissory note / sacred word / word of honor
Pick one if it helps you understand better. ZOS said one thing and did another. Any court of law would agree. False advertisement. If the TV said you would get a free burger at X fast food spot if you showed up by noon. You get there at 11:30AM and they tell you, "Sorry, we are not doing that right now." You'd be up in arms and threatening lawsuit for false advertising. A court would agree. You'd get paid. (If you think that is not true, some guy just settled with Red Bull for millions because he drank it and didn't get wings)
Get over it and see this for what it is. Players are mad because they were "mislead". They paid their dues and they want what was "insert synonym for promise here".
And for the record, I have ONE V2. Don't even know what difference the CP make to me as I haven't gotten any time off work to even log in. This point is made because I am tired of the ignorance people continue to display.
"Mom - his toy is better than mine!" is not what is being discussed. Did ZOS mislead the players. YES. Should they make it right? YES. Will they make it right?---Chime in anytime ZOS.
Edited to add the original quote about "I Promise". WAIT, I promise to leave this alone if you just agree with me.
So the words up to a cap are irrelevant? There was no PROMISE to give said number higher then the current number they are giving. Play on those words all you like.

A part of gameplay is character progression. Personally this is one of my favorite part of any game. There was a period in this game where I felt like I could no longer progress so I stopped playing. The same thing is happening to me again until the champion system is released. This a major part of any game to me and others.

I understand that and it matters to me too... but doest it necessarily have to be reflected in XP and levels ? I mean, you loot good stuff (in dungeons and trials) your gear gets better, your char gets better and this is something you can actually *feel*, regardless of level and/or XP numbers... can't you ?
I even prefer this than the levelling 1-50, during which i did not feel any progress... my char was gaining levels, sure, but the difference between me and the mobs was constant, so i did not feel any progress... whereas i do now, with all the gear i worked for, analyzed, tried, changed, combined... and the progress in my own playing skills.

Console dev is one of the reasons the game has been so slow to get fixed since most devs ans UI designers are working on it. You won't see us crying u a river for it, console was the worst thing that happenned to this game.
And I won't shed a tear for players who are going to lose progress.

Sounds like a scapegoat argument without any real evidence to back it up. There are many factors that change video games over the years, but I like Oblivion and Skyrim, and if they hadn't sold so well on consoles, ESO might not even exist.
PC actually sold 14%:

Do you believe that 14% was enough to create ESO?

O.O Such a wonderful human being you are. Just leave, nobody will miss you..
Since Bethesda thought its a good idea to put TES on Consoles the game got worse and dumbed down. Morrowind was great, you had to use your brain. A true RPG.

Do you believe that 14% was enough to create ESO? And FYI, no one would miss you either.
And I got news for you: Oblivion & Skyrim would not exist, not on PC & certainly not on consoles either, if Morrowind hadn't been such a big that captured the hearts of RPG fans.
Bethesda was going through hard times when they were making it, and they had nothing to lose so they went all in on the project, which shows in the game's quality. Around 95% of people who played that game & whom I've talked to still consider it the best Elder Scrolls title.
Later, they became succesfull & began dumbing down to appease the disrespectful console players, who wanted everything made easy for them, just like they're used to (at the expense of PC players).
I'm probably going to get LOL'ed for this, I just know it, but since average human IQ has been on a downfall since the Victorian era, as everything has been dumbed down for people (easier life in cities than in the country, machines & electronics doing the work that human mind used to do etc), could consoles just be a direct continuation of this trend?

But you see, while you are correct that TES was created on PC, I'm not blaming PC for all my problems the way many blame consoles. So I really didn't need you to defend PC because I enjoy playing games on both. I would like some proof of your theories on how the game was dumbed down though because it sounds like hearsay BS. Did they write a book about this, or did you just gather this information from 'internet' sources?
"The Elder Commies Online"
good to know im not the only one who thought that.

It was created on PC, and ruined on consoles
How it was dumbed down? Have some examples:
Level ScalingMorrowind: No scaling, you could actually die if you went to the wrong place at the wrong time. You could die if you pissed off the wrong person.
Oblivion: Level scaling introduced, dying becomes an impossibility.
Skyrim: Level scaling continues, dying continues to be an impossiblity.
ArmourMorrowind:Oblivion:
- You can wear clothing beneath your armour
- Three armour types (light, medium, heavy)
- Armour can break, 9 armor slots
Skyrim:
- Clothing beneath armour deemed too confusing for some people & gets removed
- Armour types down to 2 (light and heavy)
- Armour can still break
- Down to 6 armour slots because 9 pieces was too hard to count for people
- People still don't need clothes in the frozen wastes of Skyrim
- People are still trying to understand what is between light & heavy
- Armour is suddenly made of mysterious metal that never breaks
- Chest+Greaves = Pyjama, and we are down to 5 armour slots, because who wants to collect a lot of items in RPG right? That's difficult & time-consuming when you have to equip more things.
SkillsMorrowind:Oblivion:
- 27 Skills
Skyrim:
- 21 Skills, because some people couldn't count to 27
- Still too many numbers, lots of heads hurt by thinking. Skills down to 18
AttributesMorrowind:Oblivion:
- Strength, Speed, Intelligence, Willpower, Agility, Charisma, Luck.
Skyrim:
- Your character is still a normal being.
- You need no strength, no speed, no intelligence, no willpower, agility, charisma or luck. Who needs those things? You've got health! And you can run with stamina and cast spells with magicka! Who needs strength or intelligence huh? Certainly not people in a real world. You are DRAGONBORN!!
And there are so, so many more examples that I could fill this thread with 100 more pages of evidence, and if you try to argue "oh, that wasn't dumbing down, it was *insert excuse here*" you're only proving my point.
Resetting the quests is nice for those that have completed them all, less so for those currently part way through. Maybe, rather than that crappy necklace, Cadwell offers to reset the quests, at the end of gold.Frenkthevile wrote: »"The Elder Commies Online"

Commies that uses staves&robes, of course.
Really disappointed for having ''completed'' Craglorn before Champ system, i'll lose tons of easy xp during champ system i guess.
If they won't reward our REAL amount of xp, they should RESET evry Veteran Quest in the game to allow us to do them again at least. I'm already annoyed by the Undaunted silly sistem...this is too much.
You ppl keep comparing this with real life jobs, bank accounts. This is a game its meant to entertain. If you are no longer entertain just cancel your subscription and be done with it. No but you got to come here and whine, whine and keep whining.
Go ahead keep the rest amused. keep going.
