The "in combat" bug

SO, I'm guessing we have all experienced this thing where you don't get out of combat and is left running as your whole raid, or most of it, rides off into the sunset.
I just recently noticed something that may have been brought up or is already known, but it seems to affect me much more often and much much longer when I'm on my healer than when I'm on my burst dps. Maybe there is some bug where the "have healed state" or whatever makes the game think we are still in combat.
Just putting it out there, thoughts?

✭✭✭✭✭If you heal someone who is combat, it is considered a hostile act and places you in combat for some time (I think 30 seconds) afterward. So yes, healers are much more likely to encounter this annoying bug than others.
Potential solution: If the healer moves X meters away from the person in combat they healed, the combat state goes away (similar to how monsters reset).
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.0 -

✭They fixed it (made it a lot better) prior to the 1.5 patch redo. After that patch took it was messed up again just like NB cloak.

Just because I'm going crazy doesn't mean the stuck in combat bug isn't real ZOS .
Ya know wat is crazy though ? Not being able to mount a horse during combat . Imagine George Washington or Napoleon if they couldn't ride during combat . History would have been re written ! Now that's cRaZY !1 -
Nijjion✭✭✭✭I still get it now and then... Not sure what's hard about it... If you don't heal or attack anyone or take damage for 10 seconds you should get taken out of combat.

✭I used to think(when stuck in combat for 5 minutes), that thank god there's a camp up at least, now I only have to sprint to the closest recourse
So yeah, it's even more frustrating now when you physically have to walk + sprint between 2-3 keeps. Always the poor healer in the back of course, trying to keep up on foot.
Than there's the in- and out of combat bug where it switches every second. What's up with that? Maybe related to the indecisive sneaky eye?1 -

✭I have this problem where I will start randomly going in and out of combat for a few seconds at a time, often in the middle or no where with no mobs/players in sight. I only realised since using an addon that gives me scrolling text when in and out of combat so I don't know how long its been happening. But I bring up my menu to make sure each time I see it, and sure enough I have the red glow round the screen. It seems to occur for me after about an hour of pvp play.0 -

✭It infuriates me at times. So annoying when your group rides off and you are left running for 3-5 minutes. But even dying and then re-spawning at the keep and not being able to teleport as the game still considers you in combat even after death. This always happens to me during prime time when the server struggles with the trains and large battles. Even after the reduced player cap.1 -

jopeymonster✭✭✭It's not a bug really, its more of a broken leftover mechanic to combat against chain Ults. They leave it in since Healing Springs (and other player-affected AoE spells a la Templar Aura, Batswarm, Necro Orb) are abused enough for Ult generation. Basically, you are choosing to heal and build ultimate, or mount up and follow the group.
Not saying that it's fair one way or another, but the "Out of Combat Mounting" is something that should be looked at.#nerfkeyboards0 -
