Players are returning in anticipation of 1.6 ZOS

Some of my old guild mates from Beta have returned with anticipation 1.6 will offer better pvp performance and fixes to broken class abilities . Also the removal of vet leveling was important to them . Very few I know enjoy long leveling grinds .

So what can ZOS do to keep returning players this time ?

I'm gonna say communication and more commitment to PvP players that are no longer a huge minority in mmos today . What else can ZOS do to keep the player vs player community from retreating again in the future ?

.This is going be a new system with a completely new learning curve for all players even the top players in PVE and PVP. It'll take our commitment to learn the system. While ZoS has to be clear and transparent with 1.6. 1.6 wont be here until late january/early February. But in PTS January. They're giving us everything in PTS, so its our job as players to download the PTS, test everything and provide feedback. Alot is on us as players this patch because we are given essentially all of 1.6 just not live. There crazy ass theory crafters going crazy right now. To this ZoS has to react to bugs and seemingly gamebreaking mechanics we may find accordingly. They have done a good job listening and must continue to do along with doing what they need to do to what we tell them.

From what I understand (i could be so so wrong) is that you cant use the champion points you've accumulated until after lvl 50 on a character?

You can only earn Champion Points with a Vet character, but any character can use Champion Points. So your Level 20 character cannot earn Champion Points, but your Level 20 can use Champion Points earned by your Veteran 5 character.

High praise.

There are a lot of people that would be greatly missed and quietly receive forwarding contact information in case they want to catch up.

But ZOS? They would not be missed.

Meh, ZOS made a game that I do enjoy, so they'd be missed in my books. Not the bugs or performance issues mind you.

1.7 is the make or break one for PvP I think actually. Get your hopes up for that one, not this. Imperial City...

I think you'll see a larger return of players for the Imperial City.

But hopefully they can, more importantly than winning back the fringe players, appease the base of players that's supported them.

I think the big difference will be speed of improvement.
At the moment ZOS has been chasing its tail with balance issues left right and center.
If the new combat is anywhere near balanced....this is a massive time sink that should go away.
That leaves them a lot more time to focus on other things.
This can only be good right ?

For me its always been the combat balance in PVP. If they cant balance that then every class will be unbalanced in PVE too.. where some struggle and some dont. Making it impossible to balance with some people screaming easy and others hard.

Now everyone is at a much more even playing field, There should be much less of that difficulty gulf playing PVE content. So I see this as a massive win all round if things go to plan. TBH

1.6 is starting to bring things in that a few people were asking for, I do not think 1.6 is make or break, still a lot coming with 1.7 and beyond, depends on what your interested in when it comes to the game, still have other guilds like the Dark Brotherhood, pvp has the Imperial city, and much more.

I'm sceptical of 1.6. Major skill and stat changes, only 1 month on the PTS and ZOS have a history of ignoring bugs/exploits/balancing issues reported during testing... Wait and see, I say. I'll be more surprised if things go well than if they don't, but I'm trying to remain positive

I know. I've played several F2P and Freemium modelled MMOs.

If they offer a sub, I just bite the bullet, as it usually gets you past the 'dealing with stupid things' part of being F2P.

LOTRO, Champions Online, SWTOR -- tried them all and the sub is vastly more convenient.

I've still got some old friends here and sometimes read forums when bored at work so I'll comment.

I didn't uninstall ESO when I went on my little foray into another mmorpg. However, the comments in this thread and my experience in the other mmo, have reinforced my choice to take a break from ESO.

ESO is a great game. Set in an amazing world. But ZoS is one of the crappiest mmo companies, if not THE crappiest company I have ever played a game for.

The game I'm currently playing just put out a huge expansion patch. No lag. No lighting bugs. The only small bugs that slid past their QA were some slight glitches that could be exploited. They were patched three days later and eradicated from the game.

Other mmo's don't require their paying players to also be their QA. That's what QA analysts are for, not your customers. ZoS has some of the most incompetent developers I've ever seen and some of the worst balancing people.

I heard people won't be getting their "tracked exp" for champion system. I wonder why o.O

I would bet my motorcycle or car or both, that it's because their developers screwed up and couldn't retrieve all your saved experience so they decided to just say they're equalizing.

I should've quit a long time ago, when ZoS pushed an old patch as the "new" patch and none of the patch note changes were in the game.

Anyways, it's not so much my negative experience with ZoS, but rather the positives with another company, that has driven me to finally unsub ESO.

I forgot how much crap I've been putting up with, that just doesn't happen with any other real gaming company.

I hope 1.6 brings you all what you're looking for. But I will not put up with the BS anymore. Goodbye ZoS.

The Champion system is the thing that will either get me hooked back into the game; or force me to unsub. The game has been...less than appealing the last 3+ months, and my patience is running thin quickely.
If the CS is a failure, i'm unsubing and going back to WoW. It's that simple.

I am a major fan of the Elder Scrolls series and have been waiting for some form of online multiplayer for years. That being said I agree, unfortunately this Will be a make a break for most players.

I've seen or talked to a few players who left recently post-launch who are planning to return for 1.6 as well. I myself am in the same boat considering that if 1.6 doesn't impress me or give me some new hope in the game it'll be my last monthly sub.

Play it through x3 or 4 then come back *** might actually work, either way the MAIN reason people have left imo, is lag. Fair enough too as at times it is either unplayable or just not worth it, they have already stated there is no insta fix and its going to be a long grueling process (much like playing their PvP). I can't see everyone flocking back for 1.6 or the champ system,even if they did the moment 50 people rocked socks at one keep they would be reminded where they left.
