Inventory Space

So, I'm back after a bit of an absence (real life, darn it...), and I was kind of hoping one of the main stumbling blocks to my enjoyment of the game might have been addressed to some degree. Unfortunately, it hasn't.
I'm talking about inventory space, or rather BANK space, or the lack of it. Since our banks are shared among all our characters, the thing fills up almost immediately. I've already increased the size to 100 spaces, and it's STILL not enough for just the alchemy and enchanting components; there's not enough room for it all, let alone any other kinds of things I might want to keep.
Now, the space being so limited is only half of the problem. The other is the ridiculous expense of increasing it. Now at 100 spaces, my bank space will require more than 20,000 gold to expand further. That's more than all my characters together have. My main character has a grand total of about 1500 gold at L36, so there's no practical way for me to expand the bank any further. It might as well be eleven million gold at this point, and considering how hard it is to GET any gold.
Thus, I post here, making a plea to the devs to make inventory and bank space more accessible. I have a few suggestions. How about a tab for crafting materials, large enough to hold one stack of each type of item (I don't know how many kinds of items that would be). Then, increase stack size from 100 to 500 or 1000.
That right there would free up a great deal of space.
I welcome any other ideas or comments.

Really? Ok.
This is even more unlikely to happen now than it was the last half a dozen times this has been discussed. Why? Because recently they have:- Upped the stacking cap on runes.
- Discussed the provisioning revamp that will arrive in 1.6 (I think) and will lead to a reduction in the number of provisioning components in the game by about 50% (this was the figure that I last heard).
- Shown off a separate inventory tab for trophies etc.
All of these things have been/are being carried out to decease the pressure on the existing banking system. While I do not take this to mean that there may never be further modifications, I think that expecting further changes any time soon may be a bit on the optimistic side.2 -

✭Ah, it's good to see something is being done with it, perhaps other ways to mitigate the issue for other crafts will be considered in the future. It's a hopeful sign.
I'm just concerned that I spend more time in the game fighting with my inventory than I do fighting with the bad guys. Something tells me it shouldn't be that way.

✭To the OP, 100 Bank spaces certainly isn't enough for a player who is a Master Crafter. I'm at 190 spaces now (200 is 65K) but I'm good for space. I don't even use my Mule Horse on any of my 8 characters anymore. Once the Prov revamp and separate account tab for Trophies/Pets happens I may not even have to continue upgrading to 240. For clarity, all 8 characters are maxed personal inventory with 111.1
