I wish they would get rid of levels of food, and just scaled it to who ever ate it. It would make all ingredients valuable and useful again.

Looks like the ingredients are new as well, so no need for stacking.

Wow, look at the numbers, how MUCH health/stamina/magicka will be increased! Is this a true picture? By now, all recipes are adding just a few hundred per attribute, not a few thousand.

When champion comes out the are adding 10x the numbers to everything. So all your stats will be multiplied by 10. So like the tacos would be the same as 315 Magicka and 288 Stamina.

@Qyrk told me somewhere above already, but thank you, too :)

Hm, now I wonder what will become of all the old recipes, are they still valid with adjusted ingredients and higher stats? Or do we need to learn everything from scratch?

I know they want to reduce the number of ingredients but I hope they can somehow do this without lessening the variety of things we can find and things we can cook. I like the idea of being able to cook Khajiit style foods for my Khajiits etc and my main provisioner has now collected most of the recipes from all the areas - this was some task!

I don't want to just find "meat" or "fruit" or "fish". The foodstuffs add variety and regional flavour to the world.

The way I would do it would be that you can find bear meat or venison or mutton but can use any of them to make meat pie and to make meat pie you would only need the meat and some flour. Green recipes needing two things, blue three and purple four.

Anyway they won't tell us anything about what they are doing until it goes live on the PTS and I suspect things may be subject to change anyway depending on how things work out there.

Fishing wise (tied in with the provisioning update). I would like there to be only one basic bait and one improved bait. Maybe even get rid of these different kinds of water (which confuse most players) and just have a random chance of getting one of say 15 normal fishes and a number of rare ones depending on area.

Will food buffs stack in the coming patch? I havnt had time yet to watch the latest eso live and see if they put any info out on provisioning update.

Yes and no. As I understand it you will be able to drink one Food and One Drink and they will both be active. Eating or Drinking another consumable will replace one effective value set with the new values. ie you will have an add to both your stats and your regens but eating or drinking again will replace the values (or the timer if you consuming the same item again).

Lucky we only need 4 different kinds of bait (there are two for each type of water). But I agree as we don't always know what kind of water we are fishing in. For example Salt Water is not always where you think it should be, and what looks like stagnant water to me may not be that way in the game.

I've been using up a lot of my current ingredients, especially recipes that use tomatoes and oats, and selling them while they're still useful. I also make a lot of the blue level v5 food because those are almost more popular than purple thanks to the tweaks in the resource gains from each. Most magicka builds do as well, or better, with Fortified Sweetrolls instead of any Consummate food. My prices for sweetrolls have risen slightly over the past month (between 40-50g each) or so and for consummate foods my prices have dropped (100 - 125g each), understandably. I used to sell purple food for 200g each, and blue for around 25-30g each.

Needless to say, I'm betting a lot of our current ingredients will go away, particularly the rare, hireling-only ones.
